I persuaded my dad to go and see them in the tent at Hyde Prak Calling last Sunday and they were brilliant. Anyone else like them (or even heard of them in in fact)?
I don't have anything of their's but I may shell out for a best of or Eddie Clardke's anthology. Ironic I saw him there this year and Motorhead there last year. |

| The first two Fastway albums were great. Saw them live once or twice too back then. |

Came home and found that my dad has bought The Collection. Listening to it right now and it's great. I love finding new bands |

If it's not as good as Motley Crue then god help it only joking haven't heard much by them but I like Dr.Feelgood and Shout At The Devil. Good fun rock n' roll.
I think Fastway are better live especially with Toby Jepson (current vocalist). Here's a couple from Hyde Park, I WAS THERE

Wasn't Fastway formed by Fast Eddie and Pete Way (Bassist of UFO?). Then Pete eventually left but they kept the name. Always heard they were good and I love Pete. Will check out your links. _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |

Fastway had a couple of big hits with Easy livin, and Say what you will. They also did the Soundtrack for the classic Cheesy Metal Horror flick Trick or Treat, which I happen to own on DVD.
After Fastway the singer had a band with a drummer from detroit named Mike Alonzo. The band was called Katmandu and they were dropped by their label while on tour in asia. _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

My band in Sacramento actually did "Say What You Will" in about 1983. Forgot about that totally. Actually it shredded our guitarists voice, so we had to drop it. Too bad you weren't around, Al! _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |
