We'll have chance to re-assess the album when Universal release a 30th anniversary special edition of the album on March 29th. Saw that in the small print at the bottom of the Heaven & Hell article from the latest edition of Classic Rock Magaine which focusses on the year 1980. Wink

LOL, I always have been amused by the HR and HM equation. Back when this album was released I do not recall this debate ever happening. It only seems in the mid to late 90s that we had to label every damn thing.

Judas fucking Priest certainly in the 70s and before Screaming for Vengeance did not put out what many would consider metal today. VH1 put out this bogus show about Metal and claimed that Motley Crue invented the Power Ballad yet here I am listening to two power ballads and both are from the 70s and on a Judas Priest album. Power ballads were alive and well in the 70s and were ways for heavier bands to get radio play. Btw it was Eddie Trunk who made the comment about Home Sweet Home. I guess they forget about Bringing on the Heartbreak to which both videos came out before Home Sweet Home and was played the shit out of by MTV. Eddie must had been too high to remember that.

Metal has evolved continually over the ages. I love H&H but see Mob Rules as much darker and heavier. It seems to be recorded differently.
