My favorite Dio guitarist I would of originally said Vivian Campbell but when I saw an article of how he slammed RJD. Where would Vivian Campbell be without RJD giving him a chance to become a well known guitarist and play large arenas I think he was only 19. In my opinion if it wasn't for RJD we would not even be discussing Vivian Campbell as a guitarist . So since Vivian Campbell is out in my opinion I would have to say Craig Goldy. I saw him perform he doesn't get the credit that he should. He is just as good as Vivian Campbell and has alot more class. I have seen him in interviews and comes across as a nice person not with an ego.

| I think that all of his guitarists were/is really great, I think that I like Craig the most because of the sound he had in the 80's, and the cool songs he wrote for Magica. But all of the guitarists are the best at the song they originally played on, except for Sacred Heart, Craig kicks Viv's ass on that one... |

| Vivian was back in the day but now id say Doug i like better at this point. Doug has a great tone and speed to kill !!!! He hits Vivs little nuances wonderfully!!! I think Craig is a very nice guy and underrated he plays Vivs stuff great aswell . I seen bootlegs of Rowen aswell and he was amazing love to see him work with Ronnie again. |
