I would say 1980/81 |
That would explain why I dont remember them. I was ten/eleven at that time and Kiss was the only band I cared about a that time. I didnt hear Dio ( or at least didnt realize I heard him) until I was fourteen. I had actually heard Man on the Silver Mountain, and Heaven & Hell. I just didnt know who it was. My mom had Thin Lizzy eight track tapes, so I enjoyed their stuff too! _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

8 track tapes... those things where HUGE!
I was 14 myself...but ever since my first gig...in 1979...I was hooked on Rock and Metal...Whitesnake and Gary Moore's G-force first bands I ever saw live...check you PMs....speak later.
PS...Did they ever have 8 track tapes in cars...just think of the room they would take up.
Funny how gadgets get smaller....I remember our first video recorder....it needed 2 men to carry it...and was too big to go under the tv.... |

Yes we had a player in the car. It was built into the Pontiac Ventura (Pontiacs version of the Chevy Nova) my mom had. They also had aftermarket players that mounted under the dashboard. Those were really big. _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

artcinco...its a great cd...Motorhead's Another Perfect Day ....I know some folks did not like it...the die-hard 'Fast' Eddie Clarke fans ...but Brian brought something new and different...I liked it
Should not be forgotten this cd.
You remember this!

Just got back from seeing Deep Purple (who were very good) and I thought Thin Lizzy were excellent. John Sykes is the best guitarist I've ever had the pleasure of watching and he also posses a good voice - very much like Lynott's. I'm tempted to chech out his solo work. Scott Gorham didn't do that much and is beginning to look a little old. The sound was really bad though. All I could hear was Tommy Aldridge bashing his drums. I was deaf in the right ear afterwards |

How funny...
I offer a free, unopened CD of "One Night Only" to the first US fan of Thin Lizzy who contacts me, and nobody responds! |

I'd be on your back right away but unfortunately I don't live in the US. You should sell it on ebay. |

Already have it. It isn't bad but John Sykes isn't Phil. When I would play it I would wonder why I was listening to it and not Phil's Lizzy. |

Exactly the reason I'm giving it away... unopened, and un-listened to.

I saw flyers for those being handed out at the Deep Purple gig. Queensryche as support could be quite good. Could get to the London dates...... |

I love Thin Lizzy and would love to see them live again sometime (saw them opening up for Journey and Queen back in the days) but it's really hard to imagine them without Phil. I guess it'd be a glorified tribute band at best. Also, I think Thin Lizzy without at least one black person singing would be a real crime (now don't get on me about how it doesn't make any difference what race a person is bullshit. What a bunch of PC crap.)
"Any girls out there with a bit of Irish in them? (crowd screams) Any girls out there who'd like a little bit more Irish in them?" - Phil Lynot. _________________ Bass guitarists hold it all together. |

D-man....I am not having a go...but when I listen to Thin Lizzy...his race does not even register with me...someone's race is not gonna be the deciding factor if I buy a cd.
Maybe I am getting you wrong here.
