In Vienna Heaven and Hell are support act for Metallica.
For me it should be otherwise...
Does anybody know how long they play as a support?
I hope they play for an hour but I´m afraid they play only 30 or 40 minutes Confused

Hi Wolf!
Well, IMHO, Heaven And Hell should be headliner...
anyway this is going to be a great concert... H&H plus Metallica!!!!
I think Heaven And Hell won't play just for 30 or 40 minutes, they'll play for an hour or more (I hope).

Shouldn't even be a matter of question. And if Metallica had any respect at all, they would do what they could to rectify this horrible oversight. Show proper respect, Metallica.

Although it seems wrong that H & H are supporting Metallica, it's just a matter of popularity. Metallica is the most popular metal band of all time, so most people come to see them. Hence the headliner status. So I think it's justifiable from that point though H & H are better imo

I think if H+H were going out as Black Sabbath they may be have got the headline or equal billing, its hard to know but I am sure they are going to be difficult to follow as a support act

Well, it looks like I am the only person who thinks Metallica should play last. For the record, I think Megadeth should be playing last, too. When you attend one of the shows for yourself, you might agree with me. Megadeth is full-throttle speed/thrash metal for the most part. That is a hard act to follow in terms of keeping the energy flowing.

Metallica should play last as long as they dont play any of their gay songs from albums 5 through whatever present piece of shit they have dished out to the masses. The natural flow of energy will ebb and flow when both bands are playing, but it will reach a frantic state when Metallica plays an old school thrasher. You know it's true. Wink

Sabbath is legendary regardless of when they hit the stage.

C'mon! I dislike Metallica so much it's hard to say - I don't get the hype at all. having never heard Bullet For My Valentine I can't comment (though the name sounds all boo-hoo emo to me). Heaven and Hell should headline, hands down.

And I agree with Bildo that Metallica should offer to change the billing round - I mean without these guys, I doubt severely there would have been any Metallica! It would be like the Rolling Stones opening for whatever indie crap is top banana at the moment.

Is this a Metallica arena tour gig we're talking about by the way???

And incidentally, a comment from my mate the other day - he is a Lamb of God fan, and I told him they were opening for H&H - he thought H&H should have been the opener - what a fool!! I've heard 1 track (thanks Ben Wink ) and I think it's terrible!

They shouldent even be aloud to perform on the same Stage as H & H let alone headline over them.

This just shows the hypocrisy of this heaven and hell tour imo. Why should legends like RJD and IOMMI support metallica. I can't believe ronnie is agreeing to this, I mean, in the past he has boycotted playing second fiddle to ozzy osbourne when he fronted sabbath so why change now. I can understand it if it was DIO, but DIO fronted sabbath are as big as any metal band and should NOT support anyone, is ronnie getting desperate..????????? Crying or Very sad

Screw MetallicA.

I gave up on that band years ago.

Their first 4 CDs were very good, but anything after that went straight downhill to now they are just a watered down third rate System of a Down.

Also, I can't support a band that steals other band's music, and then a few years later blames Napster for stealing their songs, when the band stole a lot of Dave Mustaine songs that Dave never got credit for.

Those first 3 MetallicA CDs should be MegadetH CDs. Dave Mustaine wrote most of those songs, and he never got any credit for any of them, and MetallicA stole those songs from him when he left the band, and Dave's songs made MetallicA famous.

MetallicA got rich and got famous off of Dave's original songs before Dave made MegadetH.

That is why Dave always hated MetallicA.

Those first 3 MetallicA CDs should have the name MegadetH on the cover instead of MetallicA. Dave wrote almost all the songs on those CDs that MetallicA stole from him. Those first 3 MetallicA CDs are actually MegadetH CDs more or less.

I am not making this up. It is talked about in the liner notes in the re-mastered "Killing is my Business" CD book from MegadetH.

Also, if you want to listen to a MUCH BETTER MetallicA, start listening to early TestAmenT and start listening to EXODUS.

Also, there is a Christian verision of MetallicA as well: Eternal Decision.

Firstly I am no fan of Metallica...but you guys should wise up...How long ago since Black Sabbath was together again...over a decade ago...like it or not Metallica has a younger fan base in Europe.
I think its a smart move...playing with Metallica...becoz you want to bring new fans to the music of Black Sabbath and DIO.
Who's top of the bill does not matter...its about getting new fans to buy the products...we are existing customers,we don't need encouragement becoz DIO fans are loyal...but you have got to open yourself to a bigger market...if you guys want a massive DIO tour in 2008...this is all part of the strategy...planning a head...get the name DIO to a different audience.
Bullet For My Valentine again a band with a huge younger fan base...if these fans go out and buy Black Sabbath and Dio cds..the maths are easy to do...becoz I know for a fact their is fans of Bullet for my Valentine....that have not heard of DIO....this way...they will know who he is.
You should check out of there music...they are a great young British band...but some of you old farts may not like them...the young folks love them.

I know this means nothing but it shows you how many fans Bullet For My Valentine have...on there my space...they have 387,662 friends.Metallica has 533,537...Heaven and Hell has 6114 friends Dio has 35,625 ....if fans from those two bands buy Dio cds or Black Sabbath/Dio is that not a wise move.
