Granted they are legends,and I could only name a couple of songs by them  or cds...but I could list every band member of Iron Maiden and cd....but who is the biggest show band....out of these 2 heavy weights and I ain't talking about GG or Bildo 
Both have been around about the same amout of time!
Anyway I am gonna go for Iron Maiden,maybe Kiss were just too pretty for my liking,and I like the subjects and topics that Iron Maiden sing about.

...I think Maiden Has been the more serious & dedicated to their art as opposed to marketing strategies for sure...& I would also say that they are definitely the more accomplished musicians...which is why I vote for them...That being said...KISS Alive I was the first album I ever bought!...back in 74 when I was only 8 yrs old...I was a complete KISS Fanatic when I was very young...KISS ARMY & all!...The Early KISS will always hold a very special memory for me... they gave bands like Maiden & Priest & even AC/DC their first breaks as opening acts on their tours...  ...So It broke my heart to vote...un-fortunately Gene has made a sellout of those memories for me through the years...& their is simply no denying that Maiden Smokes them when it comes to Musical Agility & Talent...But they Both have Spectacular Stage antics & never leave a crowd disappointed!...I have seen Both bands several times in concert...If I were a new fan of metal...I wouldn't want to miss either one! |

Bobby ...what do you think of Ace as a guitar player.....?
I have always loved the way he plays...even liked some of Ace's solo stuff.....one song...I love is Rock Soldiers.

The vote is for show right? Kiss has always had the most ultimate show. Iron Maiden is by far the better band but no-way puts on a production like Kiss does. So for show I voted Kiss.
Show = Kiss
Music/musicians = Iron Maiden

...I love ACE!...he sticks to basic pentatonic scales & Rock chords...nothing to complicated...but he makes it work with a groove like almost no one else...he is a pioneer to me...that deserves the upmost respect!

...Did You miss The Power Slave tour?!...or Seventh Son?!...or Some Where in Time?!...I Didn't...these shows ALL matched the Intensity of KISS!

Saw them twice during Powerslave.Piece of Mind[I got to meet the whole band afterwards so that was a special night] ,Brave New World again another amazing show,nearly ripped the roof off the joint when Bruce sang the ''Clansman''and waved a scottish flag  |

...Gene isn't a joke...he is a business predator & very good at it!...I dont like How he tryed to take credit for Ronnie's signature salute...but he does give the fans all the Bang for a Buck possible! |

...Piece of Mind was the First Maiden tour I saw...& I think I have seen every one of their tours in my area since...the last one being Brave New World...a Triple Header with Halford & Queensryche!...what a show... |

I agree 100%. That being said, it should also be noted that my devotion to KI$$ has dropped to almost nil in the past 5 years, yet my respect and admiration for Iron Maiden has continued to rise. When it comes down to it, substance DOES beat style.

As it has been said already but I'll say it again kiss has a lot of people and money backing them and put on a show like no other but they really arn't that great of a band. Iron Maiden we all know how bad ass they are. Maiden has music that leaves very little room for flash, the music moves at a quick pace and is full of riffs far beyond what Kiss could ever come up with so really Kiss needs extra flash to make up for the lack of killer riffs.  So in a way I hate to do it but given the wording of the question at hand I have to vote for Kiss.
