| I tried looking for it on VH1 today at 3:00 like it said at the front page on the Dio site, but what was playing was some stupid-ass rap garbage. Exactly which VH1 is the show on? They're doing re-runs right? |

Hey #75race,
It's on today at 7pm, 4/2 at 11am, and 4/6 at 6pm...all mountain time.
I was watching it yesterday and I realized my husband was standing next to me, watching me while I watched it...I asked him what he was doing. He said, "you should see the look on your face." He actually took a picture of me watching it because he says I never smile that big for anything...I will admit, I was totally giddy with excitement. To watch the 3 of them sitting there-where was Vinnie?-was such a huge thrill for me...what made it so great is that I know I will see this show soon...and, of course, I idolize Ronnie to no end .
It seemed like the same old questions pretty much...but I did learn a few things I didn't know before. They showed some H&H videos from when they were together before...looked like 80's stuff but I don't know, but wished they were live...they were live shows put to the recorded version.
They showed them rehersing for the H&H show and at one time, they were doing FOTEOTW. Oh my God...I can't wait for the show. _________________ "...you were a fool but that's cool, it's alright!" |

Heh, it seems your not alone - my SO was giving me a time with the interveiw too; if I do this crap again - I'll look for someone I have something in common with.
Those Vids were from the Black and Blue era if I am not mistaken - and the first American showing of Neon Knights.
BTW - Did anyone else notice Geezer seemed kinda blue?

Great interview but then Eddie Trunk rulz!
Geezer did seem sort of wistful or pensive. It must be hard to shine when sitting next to two Supernovas like Ronnie and Tony though, gotta give him credit for trying.
A lot of musicians aren't comfortable talking one on one, they prefer to communicate with their music, being rather introverted off stage. Ronnie, of course has no such difficulties, he is always poised and fascinating in interviews.
Oh we can't wait for the show! _________________ Music, Magic and Imagination,

You can get it here...http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5693910
It sold out in the first 2 or 3 days (no suprise to this listener) but now they have more copies.
Get it while you can. Its an interesting video.
Thanks to overlordprod @ d.a.d. for the info and buying one for me when they were soldout. |

i luckily got the last copy in my store
the interview was decent...too much time spent talking about the damned place they were at! I mean, dude, you repeated yourself 3 times! But, the actual interview was great, wish it was longer though... _________________

I didn't think Geezer seemed depressed. He smiled often and laughed a few times. I haven't seen many interviews with Geezer, so I assumed he was the type of person who didn't speak much unless directly questioned.
I did notice that Eddie is a hardcore Ronnie James Dio fan. His questions were directed more toward Dio than anyone else because he clearly appreciates how Dio's voice changed the band's compositional options.
I didn't like the video clips of the band rehearsing because they sounded like shit for the most part. They didn't really serve the purpose of making people want to go see them in concert. That's unfortunate because they sound a thousand times better on this tour. _________________ "ZAPPA PLAYS ZAPPA" TOUR DATES: http://www.zappa.com/zpz/tourdates.html

I managed to snag the last copy from my Wal-Mart a while back. The interview is about thirty minutes, but I didn't see any rehearsals on it. They must've cut that section out of the DVD, which kinda stinks since I don't have VH1 Classic :/
Is there any way you could get the special edit through amazon.com or ebay? |
