I should think it'lll be the shortened set they've been playing recently. I doubt they'll change it now......would be nice though.

I think they should change things around a bit - afterall, most of us will have seen the DVD - a few surprises would be great. However, to see the same show as the DVD would rule all the same.

What is this shortened setlist? What's missing? I had heard there were a few cuts made for festival appearances, but was under the impression it was a shorter festival only set, and would return to normal for non-festival dates. Especially as Tony complains on the DVD about setlists with Ozzy getting shorter as the tour continues.

Now if only Dio would do a short rendition of "Howay the Lads" or "Blaydon Races" he'd grab the hearts of every geordie in the town. 6 days before the Tyne-Wear Derby so there'd really be some spirit and some vibes pouring in and out of the borough.

counting down the days. It's gonna be a hassle getting there and back since the gig will finish late and there's bound to be some charvs in the metro stations. Sign of the southern cross to ward them off!

Anyway I can't wait, first time seeing Dio and the boys, I was only 2/3 years old when the Dehumanizer came to city hall.

Coop, the stuff they cut was Devil Cried, After All and Lady Evil all of which I'll admit I'm not too fussed about.
I thought it was just for festivals as well but they used the set for all the European tour and the Australian one. A shame but I hear they're still playing an hour and a half, which probably means a 30 minunte version of Heaven & Hell lol.

Hmmm. I'd rather have those songs back in - paticularly After All and to create the time not have to put up with Lamb Of God!

There is no way in a million years I'll be watching Lamb Of God. I can't believe that crap passes for music. I may well check out Iced Earth though, their new EP is pretty cool.

Well, I don't want to end up at the back, so I'll stay if only to keep a decent place. Unless they will actually be using the allocated seat places that is, which I doubt.

I've got an allocated seat so I won't have to worry thankfully. It looks like Iced Earth are up first, is that right?

Yup. I'm not sure how they're doing the seats for this. Anyone know? For example, supposedly for Alice Cooper, the standing section tickets do have seat allocations on them, but it is in fact general admission. This was not the way it was done last time, as seats were put on the floor and therefore allocations were used. How's H&H being done?

Which means that the best places wil be taken by the idiots who go to gigs to get a black eye or two. Having said that, I imagine a large portion of the crowd will be older, and they may be more sensible. I hate young people at gigs, despite being one. Dancing is one thing, but why the need to pit? I simply don't understand. maybe I was born middle-aged!

I know exactly what you mean but I'll be nowhere near all that crap up in the tier. I thought Iced Earth were bigger than Lamb Of God though, shows how out of touch I am lol.

I'm a bit worried about the 'red sea effect' - you'll get it - that Lamb of God pull.

I'm intending on getting to the gig to get to the front, which means I'll probably see Holy magica.
