Hehehe i like that. Yep i got the bug now! That long one works very well so i did more to it last night and now just have some lead work to do but it must be done just right so i'm not sure how long these leads will take me even though they're not going to be real long ... they just gotta be just so if you know what i mean. This long one is a redo of an old song i did on my first recording venture, the song is called Ascending, hope you guys dig it.
Oh yeah the total time to the ending fade-out is 8:06 but i'm thinking of putting a special effect right at the end so it may go out as long as 8:10 to 8:12 before i send it. _________________ GUITARGOD |

Be sure to send along the lyrics when you send it out. I'll look and see if you sent me the original way back when _________________ Check out Al Diamond Phillips/Nevermet on the web

I will but i don't want to mess with the good chemistry we have so it can be re-aranged or re-written in any way needed to make it work and to make it more natural for you to sing. I 'll explain what the song is about and all that crap in the email with the original lyrics. When written i tried to keep it as simple as i could and still tell the story.
I added a fast riff to it that wasn't in the first version and it's cool enough that i kind of wish i'd made an entirly different song out of that fast riff. _________________ GUITARGOD |

Ok today i'll do the lead guitar mixdown for Ascending, it's taken me a week of picking at it to get to where i'm happy with it. I ended up using four different guitars, a LesPaul a 72 Fender Strat a Epiphone Flying V and a Paul Read Smith SE. Little snipets of each here and there.
I'll mix down each little piece into one flowing track that will mix with the rythm guitar track and send. _________________ GUITARGOD

I'm a little stunned. My long time friend, and guitarist Died of a Heart attack, at least that is what they think it was. GG he's the guy playing on the Curse of the Pharaoh. Anyone who has been to my site definately has heard his work. He truly was a talented Guitarist. He and I had our ups and downs as with any singer guitarist combo, but man I am just devistated by this. He has 4 young kids that will now be without a father.
Here is a link to my homepage. he and I cowrote the song playing on that page. Its called Tomorrow.

Oh man that stinks! Don't let it mess with you man Death is a short cut to a better life in another time in the future in some cases, as i believe anyway.
Hard to think of at the time though and for those kids it's going to be very hard for them for some time. I'm sorry about this man that really sucks indeed!
This should be the bases for a song! _________________ GUITARGOD |

Well it's now 02:00 AM my time and i just came in from the studio and have the newest one ( the mellow hard mellow) song done but still want to put a second guitar in there with the mellow one as a hard panned backup kind of thing for a little support on the soft side to keep some body to it. then it's ready to send, it's got some exciting lead work and backup stuff for me, still my style but it finely clicked and felt killer to capture! This will be a cool one. Filled up the hard drive so i had to delete some old stuff off the machine to keep going. Figures...it's wind down time i gotta split!... See you tomorrow everyone. _________________ GUITARGOD |

Song #22 the mellow to hard to mellow one is all done... at least all the guitar work is and it is way way cool i'm hoping everyone else hears what i hear with it, nothing real complicated but very hook filled at least it seems to me.
I'm going to walk to my kids school to pick them up and prof listen to it on the way, there's one short spot that i feel i may want to put something and mean short as in .02 Seconds worth so it would suck to bounce everything again over that amount of time but if it makes it even better i will... i'll get back to you and send very soon!
Here we go guys lets get this album out..fire under the BALLS! .. come on... Dave where are ya man you get my files yet? _________________ GUITARGOD |

Ok people right now things are still moving forward... the last two are ready to send and i'll do so anytime, at the moment other material is still being worked on so in the mean time i'm going to record new guitar tracks for Daves song Tonight We Ride just to tighten up the song for improved quality because the guitar part was written by Dave so i need to give it extra atention to make sure it's what it should be or what he intended it to be.
Parts written by somone else tend to feel un-natural to me so it can come off as choppy so i'll make sure it's as good as i can get it by going over it as many times as needed and use the best one.
And now that Scott put his KILLER drum work on the song it will feel more natural to play to and that in itself will improve the feel of the song. _________________ GUITARGOD |

Ok more has been done... files sent today of a new guitar track for Tonight We Ride and a guitars only file for a new one with no name yet, for now i call it the mellow thing. Cool stuff, while i'm waiting for the spots to be filled i'll do a little solo work for a song of Al's that he had done before Nevermet. Then i'll start on another new one that will be a hard one, it's an idea i've had for a long time but not put it into the recorder yet...should be a killer one. _________________ GUITARGOD |

On Ascending it's all pretty much done except for the mix down of the lead guitar track but after listening to it i'm kind of wanting to add some extra back-up lead in a few spots so there's still work to be done but it should't take me long and it'll be ready to send, i still have to send you the drum loop used on the last Mellow thing sent also.
Yep... up to 8 songs and still rolling, have a killer riff idea for the next one, just need to work out the changes. _________________ GUITARGOD |
