| I absolutely adore Judas Priest as well. I cannot wait to purchase Nostradamus. I think that they may have really outdone themselves with their conceptual album. So gifted and talented. |

A one-minute teaser for the new Judas Priest video, "War", can be viewed at this location. The song comes off the group's double-disc concept album, "Nostradamus".
Long in the works, "Nostradamus" takes epic storytelling to a whole new level, as it recounts the life of this mysterious, world-known 16th century French prophet.
Judas Priest will guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline", hosted by Bob Coburn, on Monday, July 21 at 11:30 p.m. EST/8:30 p.m. PST. Fans can talk live with Judas Priest by calling 800-344-ROCK (7625). To find a station near you or to listen to the show live via the Internet, go to Rocklineradio.com. _________________ Video games are bad for you? That what they said about Rock 'n' Roll... |

Judas Priest - Live In Hellsinki June 3rd...
Now that was an awesome show indeed! Judas Priest really showed us all again that what heavy metal is all about, how it should sound and be played. Sharp, punchy drum firepower, roaring bass within, crushing and ear-shattering guitars --> very balanced and VERY powerful sound, the way it should be! Rob's performance was, again, stellar. The very highest screams (70's to 90's) are not there anymore, but still Rob can scream like hell, his overall singing capabilities and technique are actually much better than they used to be. Rob is THE METAL GOD, 57 this year. Both guitarists were at the top notch, "new" classics were played very precisely and solos were executed very faithfully, some songs were played with a bit slower tempo, but that made them all the heavier. The setlist was full of fantastic surprises! I had actually wished for many of them to be played live just a day before the show. But I won't tell, I want people to get surprised like I did...definitely renewed setlist, many staple classics, but many "new" classics people wouldn't expect but would wish for...
THANK YOU METAL GODS!!! Birmingham steel is still hot and heavy!!!

The title song, "Visions", "Dawn Of Creation/Prophecy" and "Death" have been my only acquaintances of the new album thus far (great old school metal songs, out at last!), but next week I'll get my copy of the 2CD Deluxe book edition, only then I will dive deep into the conceptual realm of Judas Priest's "Nostradamus" mega opus. The band themselves have emphasized the conceptual entirety of the album and I strongly believe this album will really come alive to it's full glory and power when listened to from the beginning to the end. Of course one can detach many separate songs and enjoy them, but in my mind the very best way to experience this album is to take it full-on as an entirety. That's the reason I haven't listened to these sample songs too much, I want the whole thing as the band offers & recommends it.
Some people may say that the album "is too long" or "there are too many intros" or "there are too many songs" etc. I say WHERE IS YOUR ABILITY TO FOCUS? Can't you listen a 2 disc album on a one take? Can't you listen 2 other Judas Priest albums in a row? Art is something to really put your mind within, especially a work like this. "Nostradamus" is not your choice for background music and it's not just another album, we're talking about a 2-part conceptual theatre show of heavy metal.
I believe this album will be one of the landmarks of heavy metal. _________________ HEAVY FUCKING METAL!!! |

| I don't know why I waited so long. This epic concept album f'n rocks!!! I bought AOR on the first day of it's release. It's nice to see in this age of "singles" a band that has the balls to make music the way THEY want too! I love songs that run longer than 3 minutes! Priest & Maiden are the masters of this! |

Well said, Mettallion! I never understood why people say a song is too long! Maiden gets a lot of this crap too. How can more of the best be a bad thing?
I've listened to Nostradamus like 10 times now & can't get enough. This thing was meant to be listened to all the way through & if you don't have that kind of attention span, I feel sorry for you.
I find the song "New Beginnings" is holding a place close to my heart, as my Wife & I are going through a rough patch in our near 10 year marriage. |
