I slipped into the music quite easily. I've been a big fan of Rush for over 25 years, and the friend who "introduced" me to them said they were "Rush influenced", and it just clicked with me.

Dream Theater will be kicking off their 2007/2008 World Tour on Sunday June 3rd 2007 with a headlining spot at the 3-day GODS OF METAL Festival in Italy.
The running order and lineup for that day will be:
DREAM THEATER
HEAVEN AND HELL
BLIND GUARDIAN
DIMMU BORGIR
PORCUPINE TREE
SYMPHONY X
ANATHEMA
SADIST
DGM
Tickets will go on sale on January 26th

I disagree with the sugestion that you have to be open to get the music because it goes into 'left field' - much of what I listen to regularly has long instumental passages, and parts making up the music which would be considered strange or 'left field'. That isn't the reason.
But I don't know exactly what it is. It sounded to me almost like it was lost, and not knowing where it wanted to go, resulting in a confused sound, but again, that doesn't feel like the right reason!!
Perhaps I just don't like it!

I would say stick with it, but I've had similar "problems" with bands that others rant about.

Gotta be honest, I had to double check the spelling when I was first introduced to the band and their music!!!

I will be there... anyway, due to organization problems, the tickets went on sale the day before yesterday.
They are 63,50 € per day. But there are some discounts if you go to more than one day (the days are 2nd, 3rd and 30th of June).
Personally, I'll go only the 3rd of June when there will be Heaven And Hell!!!
