HEAVEN AND HELL — the new band featuring legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio (DIO, BLACK SABBATH, RAINBOW) alongside original BLACK SABBATH members Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, plus drummer Vinny Appice (DIO, BLACK SABBATH) — has reportedly been confirmed for the Sauna Open Air festival on June 9 in Tampere, Finland. Also scheduled to appear is SONATA ARCTICA.
As previously reported, HEAVEN AND HELL will headline of this year's installment of the Bang Your Head!!! festival, set to take place June 22-23, 2007 in Balingen, Germany. The band will also play the Sweden Rock Festival, which is scheduled to be held June 6-9, 2007 in Sölvesborg, Sweden.
The HEAVEN AND HELL tour will kick off in Vancouver, British Columbia, on March 3 and play at least seven shows across Canada, including Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City. Then the band will likely play South America, Japan, Korea, Australia and Europe before returning to North America for a U.S. tour in August or September.

Greetings one and all! Been a long time since my last post here.
I just wanted to tell you all that HEAVEN AND HELL is my long-time dream, tailored and custom-made...and it's becoming true day by day!!! Since 1999 or so me and a good friend of mine have silently dreamed that maybe some day Ronnie James Dio will once again perform classic Black Sabbath songs live on stage together with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, making the songs really come alive in their full strength. No big ever-lasting "reunions", just a tour for the glory of the great music they have made together years back.
First, they started making songs together for a compilation album.
Then, they announced that they would tour together. Under one of the greatest and most viciously innovative monikers ever deviced - Heaven And Hell!!!
Then they announced that Vinny Appice would pound the drums...Fantastic!!!
After that, they announced that they would perform only Dio-era Black Sabbath songs. No Ozzy-era anymore. Just Dio-esque majesty...My God...
Soon they gave me the ultimate priviledge of having the chance to experience two shows here in Finland. Two shows!!! I have the S:O:A festival ticket and the Hellsinki Icehall floor ticket...I couldn't be any happier!!!
And finally, once the tour had started, they announced that they would shoot a live DVD for remembrance. Of course they will...
So, after some 7 years of dreaming and praying to the heavy metal heavens, it's finally happening as I've hoped for - better than I hoped for. New songs (maybe even an entire album coming up, who knows?), a world tour reaching Finland, only Dio-esque songs, two shows for me and a live DVD.
HEAVEN AND HELL - the ultimate testament of heavy metal power
