Okay...just finished watching the dvd.......and its amazing...much better sound than the cd....I don't know why....Guitars are louder....and Mr Dio performance is just without faults....excellent....his ability to sing these songs is still there....all the reviews about his voice being past it...are a load of crap!
The Godfather of Metal....is still sitting on top of the mountain...and nothing will knock him down!Rudy shows us why he is one of the best bass guitar players out there....magnificent is all I can say...Simon....is the imposingly splendid thunder....his drums will shake your bones,outstanding solo from Simon,Scott's playing is really good....for a metal band....you can hear Scott playing and is not missing from this Dio symphony of classic songs....which is good.I will not spoil it too much for the fans.....get out there now and get your copy now!
There is great interviews from all the band......you got digital sound 5 and 1.....DTS....the whole lot!One thing I did notice from the inner notes....apart from the mistake about ''Goldy''featured spot....when it should have been Doug.....there is no pictures of Doug on the dvd package....or inside....oh well ....we are not perfect....anyway thats just minor details.....Everyone knows my thoughts on Doug.....and I will ADMIT....he is brillant on the dvd...I am just don't know what happened with the cd.....also Doug played better in London....than what he did in Glasgow..But this dvd is about the outstandingly good and skilful Mr Dio.....this is an amazing singer....who just gets better and better...Mr Dio should be proud...this is an accomplishment of something very special for the fans.....and I thank him for sharing his talent with us....Long Live Rock and Roll.....10 out of 10!

Does the dvd show any extra from other gigs because there were cameras at Southampton?

If you had better reading abilities you would have noticed I was talking about audio from the CD VERSION.

Yeah, at the shows from Bristol to London there was a camera guy to make shots of backstage, the fans, shows, etc, for the special features section of this DVD. Are there only interviews with the band, Holymagica? Cause I did also a interview with 2 buddy's when we were waiting at the Astoria before the concert

You know something Bobby u may have a wee point....my hi-fi is not even a year old but its state of the art...one of these multi-rooms systems with hard drive and multi speakers etc....even playing in all the rooms the guitar is not loud....when I listen to music I can hear every instrument...playing.....I am a purist when he comes to perfect sound.

Not sure if does...then its good editing....was Southampton before London....maybe the production team where doing a run through in Southampton before the London gig. |

Interviews with the band only and some guests....but you never know there maybe hidden extras on dvd....I think you call them ''easter eggs'' |

Did Gary just give a good review of Doug Aldrich?
Amazing
At the moment, Doug is one of the most exiting players around. He rocks hard, as well as being techically brilliant and totally solid.
Have you seen him on the Whitesnake DVD, holymagica?
(by the way, its mikeh from the WS BB [we debated Doug v Craig for a while and people got annoyed!) |

Hey Mike...how you doing....have you missed me so much! or have you come over to the darkside !... good to see you...also good of you to let me know who you are...hows the ws board...are folks still licking DC's ass....is freedom of speech still not allow there...anyway...thats stuff not important.....hows the band doing...hope you are still...playing away...I liked you posts over there by the way...so what we had a few debates....was all good fun!...never nasty.......I think most of my posts over there annoyed folks....but all I was trying to do...was inject life onto the board...becoz at times....its just crap on there...''I love you always David''...Yuk!!Regarding the dvd...I don't like it...myself...I mean Whitesnake dvd....apart from wrong songs played...etc etc..but I will not bore you will my thoughts....are you going to any of the gigs?...I will be at the Glasgow show.....anyway....good to see you at DIO.....you should come back more often.....good luck with the band.Catch you soon Mike  |

Can someone please tell me what region this is in and will it be in region one? Went to Amazon.com and it says may not be able to be played on dvd players in america.Just wonderin thanks  |

NTSC for usa Region 1
PAL for europe |
