Iam not that good playing & twisting with words ! 
Ive wrote the stargazer & Light in the black images long time ago , years later on , ive read many old interviews from various sources concerning Dio and some of his comments on the Stargazer/Light In the Black , those quotes just proved my vision of the storyline of those 2 epics , its might not be 100% right , yet the main structure is defintly what RJD has in mind !
Why ? or how come i can be sure of something like that ?
well , u just have to read the article and then we can discuss it here allover , as said before , those songs are straight forward epics , the article Analyze the lyrics in detail , u can sense the flow easily !
Iam not trying to point out that iam the smart guy around here , its just plain clear to me how stagazer and Light in the black are 100% linked together ...
I actually had one of my dear friends George Galanis ( president of the Dio greek wizards fan club) handle a copy of the interpertations ive wrote to Ronnie himself ! unfortuntaly and after signing the album cover for me and due to other cirumcumtances RJD forgot to take the copy ! 
Iam managing to send him another copy during his next upcoming tour , i really hope he would read it and give us some personal comments from his side ! such a great fun i guess !
i named the book Egypt : The Images are on !

| i like both songs but and i can't pick one over the other . COME ON it's Stargazer and Light in black , you can't pick one from those. |

Well, IMHO, those who are unfamiliar with the songs would preferr Stargazer over LITB because it's just more instantly appealing to the ear. It has the repeating chorus and melodic sound that the unfamiliar tend to like.
I was one of the unfamiliar ones...I admit it  . I know I've heard Stargazer in concert, and maybe I was familiar with it, I don't know. But now that I own the CD, I would have to say that I love them equally...and man do I love them.

i think that the speed double bass drumming the epic vocals and the keyboard[guitar solo with arpeggios make this song a speed power metal masterpiece....maybe the best ever speed song...
also my opinion is that rainbow was the best band of all time.... |

An interesting opinion. A light in the black is better then Stargazer. As much as i love this track, i'm listening to it right now and it's followed Stargazer (as i'm sure you know.) I do prefer Stargazer, it's just magical. I had pulled out three Cd's that i wanted to play but now i think that i might just have a Dio day!

It is an awesome number and you could say Stargazer part two in reference to lyrics. Stargazer get`s all the credit but I agree this as far as I am concerned is the runner up, blinding stuff, PowerKnight

Both are great songs, but Stargazer is an out and out classic. The song takes you on a journey where as light in the black is a balls out rock track.
I love both but for musicality Stargazer gets it.
