| A Rainbow or Dio/Feinstein reunion would have far greater potential for greatness than either Heaven & Hell or Dio. |
Who or what is Feinstein? |
David Feinstein is Ronnie's cousin. They played together in Elf. |
Elf. And you think an Elf reunion has far greeater potential for greatness than Ronnie with his Black Sabbath mates? Are you on crack? |
... ...Once again...NEVER do a drug named after a part of your ASS!!!... ...I would like to hear Ronnie work with Rock again though... |
David ‘Rock’ Feinstein formed the Rods after leaving Elf. I wasn’t overly impressed with their blue-collar anthem approach or Rock’s singing. After receiving a call from Ronnie, he recorded a comeback album titled One Night in the Jungle. Rock’s playing, songwriting and even singing has never been better.
Following the success of his comeback album, Rock formed Feinstein featuring vocalist John West (Royal Hunt, Artension). Their debut titled Third Wish is a career highlight for Rock and the best hard rock/heavy metal album since Perfect Strangers. Third Wish is the album I have been waiting for from Ronnie since he founded Dio.
Both albums are a must for fans of Dio. There were discussions of Feinstein touring with Dio after Wacken but Rock decided it was not financially feasible. Heaven & Hell should be playing larger venues than Dio and now may be the last realistic opportunity for Feinstein to reunite. _________________ The Legendary Remorseless Crusader Almighty

Why would you like to hear Ronnie work with Rock? I don't have any Elf music, but I thought that it was bluese rock. I'm not very interested in blues rock, I rather lsiten to metal, don't you? _________________ You're Breathless, ready to burn

I suggest you read my previous post then check out One Night in the Jungle and Third Wish. Neither of these heavy metal albums resembles Elf and both are better than the Rods and Dio too! _________________ The Legendary Remorseless Crusader Almighty

personally I believe a 'RAINBOW RE-UNION would create phenominal interest within the metal music industry, simply because of the magical music created during that special time, the music was ahead of its time, far more than the dio led sabbath era, rainbow were fresh, mythical, different and magical..they took you to another mystical world....who cannot be mesmerised by 'STARGAZER' AND 'CATCH THE RAINBOW'...hang on a minute, is this me 'looking back' ..?...blimey..!! |

I guess you're doing nothing wrong here. How can we be Dio fans without ever looking back, when there's so much to look back on...?
Still I doubt whether a Rainbow reunion, unreal as it is, but let's just think about it... I doubt whether they would be able to re-create that magic here and now. It WAS a special time, and it's been long gone. I guess that re-uniting the band who created the magic wouldn't make their songs any better than they are already. Dio-Rainbow was an entirely different animal than Dio-Sabbath or Dio-Dio.
Each time I watch the Rainbow 77 DVD I have to hold back my tears because I was there. But putting the same guys back together on stage now won't bring Rainbow back.

Blacksheep,
Thanks for the links. I will work it out from those. Those are bass tabs too, but I can get through with just those. _________________ "I was the first to use the horns!" |

One needs only to listen to the Blackmore’s Night albums (as difficult as that may be) to see the potential of a Blackmore/Dio reunion. Ritchie is still a gifted songwriter and a guitarist second to none. There are songs on each album that if recorded in a traditional hard rock arrangement with Ronnie on vocals would be classics. In fact, re-recording the Blackmore’s Night hard rock songs as they were meant to be played would be a very worthwhile project. _________________ The Legendary Remorseless Crusader Almighty
