Ronnie James Dio will always be remember as the Voice of Rainbow by most of his longtime fans. In his prime, Ian Gillan was the best hard rock singer ever but Ronnie should be admired for taking care of his voice unlike the Silent Screamer.
Ronnie should also be admired for his diplomatic approach in interviews unlike the Silent Screamer. Still, I would enjoy hearing the inside story as to why Rainbow has never reunited.
Although there’s more money in Sabbath, I hope Ronnie finds time to work with his cousin again if Ritchie Blackmore insists on wasting away his remaining years. _________________ The Legendary Remorseless Crusader Almighty

| A LEGEND! This is what I called Ronnie when I met him, he was very appreciative of this analogy. |

To most people I end up as describing Ronnie in conversations that go something like this:
Me:"He's this amazing singer. Regarded as the best in Hard Rock. He was a singer in Black Sabbath"
Friend: "Don't you mean Ozzy Osbourne? Weren't Black Sabbath his band"
Me (restraining urge to scream): "No, Ozzy was just one of their singers. It's the guitarist's band. Anyway he also sang in Rainbow"
Friend: "Oh did he do Since You Been Gone? I love that song!"
Me: |
Jesus christ! that's exactly what happened when i was introducing people to dio! they would call me stupid for saying he sang for sabbath and wouldnt beleive me untill i showed them an album! |

Well, I'll tell you what I told him...
"The beauty of your voice comforts me, the power of your voice helps me feel strong, and what you sing about has given me the strength and courage to go on." I was also telling him about my abuse during adolescence and making the point that his music helped me thru it.
All of that in a very sweet, polite, caring man. I can't believe the world doesn't worship him ..as I listen to Over and Over. _________________ "...you were a fool but that's cool, it's alright!" |

I don't know but it seems about the time life kicks the shit out of me and knocks me to the curb about that time a new DIO album comes out and helps me put life back into perspective!!!!Sometimes seems like we use the same lyric pool at times as well. |

| a person should not be judged by his appearence. a man is as great as his soul. and only a man with great soul can create great songs as Dio's. And by the way the wisdom comes with the age. |

I guess in Ronnies case it's quite appropriate to judge him by his appearance as well. There's absolutely nothing wrong with his appearance, he looks great and he looks the person he is. Everything on him is genuine. You can see his soul in his eyes.
