Hey, Devin, I've saved the link Bobby provided and I'll see if I can find something on there I like. I might even search AresGalaxy for a couple of tracks.
Far, far from it for me to belittle someone elses taste in music, I'll give W.A.S.P a listen and see if anything has changed over the years.
I'll post my thoughts here, but as I'm at work again tonight and quite busy tomorrow, it'll be a few days before I can get round to it.
And before I go, if you and Bobby start a slanging match over this, I'll kick your f**kin' arses from here to hell and back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I tried the web-site and, unless I was looking in the wrong place, I couldn't find any downloadable samples. It's not the easiest web-site to navigate either!!
So far Ares hasn't coughed up anything either!!!!
Is it trying to tell me something.......................LOL!!!!!
Edit: Managed to download "I Wanna Be Somebody" and "Hold On To My Heart", although this track doesn't really come across as being W.A.S.P or did they go thro a "soft period"????

Nope, I might've heard some on the radio, not knowing who it was, but as far as I know I haven't.
I was reading about them yesterday, only thing I didn't like was that they would cancel shows because the skull microphone would be too heavy for the stage, sounded like a dumb reason to me.

Crimson Idol is not RECENT either. Either way you lose. It is SEVEN albums ago. Seven STUDIO albums ago. Recent is not 13 years ago. Recent is a synonym of new.

...Geesh!... ...the reason I refered to Crimson as "recent" is because sentinel claimed that he had not listened to WASP since the early 80's... ...would that Not make the albums I refered to more "recent" ???... ...the ButterBall comment was a joke...it had NOTHING to do with this particular conversation!...Kind of like when I refer to you as MacDork... ...YOU interupted this topic with the "manhood" jab devin...I told you before..."If you dont want a fight ...DONT start one"...Now am I going to have to start a topic just for our disagreements, in order to spare the good people of this forum from becoming sidetracked?... ...& may we now resume discussing WASP?!...

"Hold On To My Heart"
Ok, this isth firs W.A.S.P song that I've listened to for many years, and it's come across asa typical '80s "power ballad". Nice tune, good use of strings in the background, heartfelt lyrics.
Overall: 7/10
"Forever Free"
This is better!!!! Still has the "power ballad" overtones, but has a harder, more heavier sound.
Overall: 7/10
"I Wanna Be Somebody"
Whoa there!!!!!!!! Finally a track with some balls!!!!! I'd hesitate to lable this as"heavy metal" but it is very good heavy rock.
Overall: 9/10
Ok, this was a very pleasant aural experience. The sound is crisp and wholesome, although the first 2 songs were very "power ballady", wich isn't a bad thing.
I've another couple of tracks in the process of downloading and I'm looking forward to hearing them.
