What is your Favourite Track from A Matter of Life and Death.
I will go for The Longest Day.
The lyrics are very powerful and I love the solos and riff, bass the whole package.
I would put this song along side,''The Trooper and ''Where Eagles Dare'' |

Hehe, you're right!!! I love all the tracks from "A Matter Of Life And Death", I wanted to say that my favourite song from that one is "Lord Of Light"... _________________ THEY CAN'T STOP US, LET 'EM TRY, FOR HEAVY METAL WE WILL DIE!

These colours don't run, i just love the verse melody and the chorus, and the "whoa whoa" chant near the end. Closely followed by the greater good.... and then the intro riff for the pilgrim! _________________ If I speak at one constant volume. at one constant pitch. at one constant rhythm.

I chose "Lord of Light" because it has a haunting introduction which leads into a blazing OLD SCHOOL guitar riff that is then joined by the OLD SCHOOL galloping bass line of Steve Harris.
Excellent song.
BUT...
I really think "Brighter Than a Thousand Suns" is equally good. That song creates a mood much like some of the Tool/A Perfect Circle songs. The bass is just creepy in a good way. The guitars are HEAVY as SHIT. Nice. |

It's been a while since I've been listening the CD but Out Of The Shadows is the track I remember well. Something about the way Bruce sings that "Hold a halo around the world" and then the lyrics in chorus, I love it. _________________ "Vaikka totuus ja valhe vaihtelevat

I have never seen a poll for folks to have so many favourites....
Says a lot about how good this cd is!
And totally understand why they want to perform it live. |
