Heres poll #2 in my "Vs" series, I will post one every 4-7 days until all albums have been covered. Please, no one else copy my idea cause I love talking about all the material Ronnie has recorded, and if everyone starts copying my idea it wont last for a long debate.

Why Mob rule vs. Last in Line?? Well, unlike Magicia Vs.Dehumanizer which I did based on Guitar style, this one is based on song quality and feeling. For some reason I feel these 2 albums have a simlliaur Dark feel, for example- Voodo and Evil eyes, or Sing of the Southern and Egypt.

Mob Rules absolutely kills Last In Line. Not even close. I like some songs on LIL, but imo, Holy Diver is the only Dio solo album that is absolutely filler free. Last In Line contains the god-awful Mystery.

Mob Rules by a landslide, imo.

..."kills" isn't even a close description IMO...I'm calling this one a Tie...Last in Line is Probably my favorite DIO era album...Both Albums have the Machine gunner Vinny Appice...DIO/Sabbath Anything is topnotch in my book...so this one is just "TOO CLOSE" to call!... Idea ...I like how you approach your choices Agent...that is why I asked you along time ago if you were a COP... Laughing ...you tend to analyze things down to it's DNA... Wink Cool ...but I tend to differ on your "filler" comments...Ronnie's fillers seem to always be a great prelude to something Killer!... Twisted Evil

Most cops are too stupid to understand DNA. You're giving them too much credit, Bobby.

Ronnie's filler may be a prelude to something killer, but Mob Rules doesn't have filler to begin with. The voting is pretty even, but I see the comments are pretty heavily in favor of Last In Line. It's things like that which lead me to think many Dio fans have lost it.

...Why is that Agent?...I was around & bought both Lp's when they were first released...& being a Predominant DIO/Sabbath fan myself...I think they are both pretty much equally outstanding on their own Attributes...I Love the Last the Line Album...

I like LIL too. I think it and Sacred Heart are equally as good. Those who don't like Sacred Heart might consider that a slight, but I'm a fan of Sacred Heart, so I don't mean it that way.

But in my opinion, the albums just don't match up. LIL starts very strong. We Rock and the title track are outstanding. The rest of the album is full of solid tracks, except for Mystery, which is a total piece of crap, I think. But excluding Mystery, the remainig tracks are good to very good.

Mob Rules, on the other hand, has no dud tracks like Mystery. It's a much stronger album from start to finish.

...C'mon Agent... Sad ...Mystery is a Great tune!...One to sit & chill with your best girl to... Idea ...So Ronnie put something slightly more Lite Hearted in the Middle of an Immensely Intense Epic...Border Line SCARY Thriller of an album!... Wink Laughing ...I can remember that song as being a Cheerful Breathe of fresh air during a severely intense TRIP!

No. No, it's not good. I hated it the moment I heard it. It's a clear attempt to get another hit with a catchy keyboard part. I think its lame as hell.

What videos are there from LIL? There is the title track, of course, and Mystery. I don't know of any others, though they may exist. That Ronnie chose to do a video for that song and put it out for people to hear instead of something like We Rock was a sell out. He went for the pop hit, and he got nothing. Sorry man, I can't stand that song.

...Well out of all the Videos from that period...I like Mystery & Ronnie's productions the best...I dont think there was anything wrong with an attempt at some Airplay...What if Rainbow in the Dark never got written?...Heavy Metal will always have it's hardcore fans, & those that are recruited from the mainstream...Mystery may be a softer song...But I wouldn't call ANYTHING DIO has Done POP...
