Fortunate Son is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. Blackie, you better do justice to it! _________________ Sit on it, Potsie. |

I like those version of "Locomotive Breath" and "Somebody To Love"... to be honest, I prefer the version by Blackie of "Somebody To Love" to the original version by Jefferson Airplane... _________________ THEY CAN'T STOP US, LET 'EM TRY, FOR HEAVY METAL WE WILL DIE!

I think WASP covering CCR is a very bad idea. That song doesn't need to be remade, and there is no chance of him topping it. Putting two covers on the album makes it seem like he's short on song ideas. I'm a little more hopeful for the Deep Purple cover.
WASP has done a few good covers - The Real Me comes to mind. But the rest aren't very good, imo. I haven't listened to them in awhile, but they didn't leave a good impression. |

Well, my favourite W.A.S.P. covers are "Tie Your Mother Down" (original version by Queen) and "Whola Lotta Rosie" (original version by AC/DC)!!! _________________ THEY CAN'T STOP US, LET 'EM TRY, FOR HEAVY METAL WE WILL DIE!

Yes, it can't be done better, so I guess he should just do it differently. I'll try to keep an open mind when I listen to it. _________________ Sit on it, Potsie. |

I'm sure you've heard by now about the news story that reported Blackie Lawless was killed in a car accident. Not true fortunately. Go to waspnation.com and hit the link to the false news story. Read it. This is SO obviously a fake story that I wonder why so many people were believing it. Here's the best part: click on 'sign out' at the top of the fake article. It takes you to an error page for 'FakeAWish.com.' Here's the question: which ex-WASP band member do you think wrote it? Maybe we should start a poll! _________________ Sit on it, Potsie. |

Mississippi Queen is my personal favorite. The Real Me is also done quite well, especially the bass work. Paint It Black sound horrible to me, but I cannot say I care much for the original version.
I actually think Blackie will do a good job with the vocals on Fortunate Son. I don’t know how they plan to translate the original guitar parts into metal, though. It will either be spectacular or a disastrous. _________________ "ZAPPA PLAYS ZAPPA" TOUR DATES: http://www.zappa.com/zpz/tourdates.html
