I have the Suffer Our Pleasures album. Good stuff, although I don't seem to be able to find the other ones . Is The Spell Of Iron a similar style, or have Tarot evolved over the years? |
Old Tarot albums have been remastered and hit to the stores on march 2006... All 6 new albums have some bonus tracks etc.
Tarot has changed a bit, older albums doesn't have keyboards and old Tarot is propably a bit more traditional N.W.O.B.H.M kind of stuff but it rocks! _________________ "Vaikka totuus ja valhe vaihtelevat

Satyrian-''Eternitas''
I don't know what kind of genre of music you can class Satyrian, and reading from the website this band started out as Danse Macabre,
the band themselves describe there music as international Gothic Rock band, combining dark atmospheric lyrics with Wave, Rock, classical orchestration, piano and heavy guitars.Over 3 and half years in the making this cd,mainly becoz of replacing the vocals and changing record companies..If you like European Metal with a female vocals and male vocals,...you will like this cd, this cd can sit beside Nightwish etc, every song just flows to the next, there is so much to hear, you got a metal band, orchestra and amazing piano...its like an epic music score with heavy guitar solos to give it even more substance,In the german press some reviews said Satyrian had created a new genre of music when they heard this cd,they called it ''Atmospheric Orchestral Folk Classic Goth Rock''
samples are at website

Draconian -''Where Lovers Mourn''
This is my first cd from Draconian,Doom Metal from lovely Sweden,This is a impressive cd,there sound is on the heavier side of this genre,
I really like some of guitar riffs, there is influences from other bands in this genre of music,I will be checking out there new cd '' The Burning Halo'' which is set to be released on the 29th of September, and last years release ''Arcane Rain Fell ''
samples are at the website

Jadis: Photoplay (2006), just bought it yesterday. This is a neo prog band which on this album decided to go into some more straight ahead rock. Surprisingly good, has some hard-rock flavour in a few songs (riffing + Hammond like sounds). I like it . |

New purchase: Coven - Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls.
These guys were so into witchcraft and devilw orship, the lyrics are kinda funny, but the music is good, and Jinx's voice is amazing!! She has such a powerful voice, and holds climbing notes extraordinarily well! the last rack is a recording of the band performing a black mass - haven't heard that yet (I shall wait until I'm in the mood for a chuckle I think....) _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |

Got this very strange cd.... band...called Endura...I know nothing about them...I have the one cd....The Dark Is Light Enough .....and its very scary music...its the sort of music .. that would be played in a pitch black forest...with a cold misty hiding in the trees...and hooded black creatures running after you!I kid you not |

For Coop...this all the info on Endura...I found....I am sure one my vampire babes gave me it
I know that they where once called ''AbRAXAS''...before changing name to Endura.
Some more information I have found......about the cd
The Dark is Light Enough (1996 Allegoria Records) picks up themes from their earlier CD and "expands out into a universe of cosmic strangeness".
'The Stars Are Right' (track 1) begins and ends with very deep-voiced mutterings and a scattering of industrial noises, but the main part is a powerful and haunting tune with an overwhelming feeling of inevitability. This would make good theme music for a deep, tragic drama. 'In Nevers Gift' (2) a squeeze box sound introduces powerful synthesised orchestration and, buried within that, acoustic guitar and a song in the style of Sol Invictus.
'Listen Like Wolves' (3) features tribal rhythms and snarling vocals, while 'Ubbo - Sathla' (4) and 'He Knows The Gate' (5) are more formless and to my mind less interesting. 'Nu Silence Rite' (6) is a sustained shamanistic ritual with rattling bones and reminiscent of the songs performed by Brendan Perry of Dead Can Dance.
'In The Sea My Lord Lieth' (7) is devoted to Leviathan, an Endura leitmotif as indicated above. Leviathan was a draconian sea-god or monster in Mesopotamian mythology and was later borrowed into the Hebrew religion where it occupied a somewhat ambivalent position.
'When I Was Dead' ( is a song, while the concluding track, 'The Dark is Light Enough' (9), is a heavy industrial finale with vocals. If rock-drills could march this is what they'd sound like.
I will get you a copy...don't worry about that...its the sort of music you could play in the dark...and dance naked around a fire...while eating a sheep' head.....its so different very raw...primeval...and with headphones on...in the dark...bloody amazing.
PS..I think they are British but not sure. |

*Coop drools at the thought of another amazingly bizarre CD being added to his already odd collection*
That sounds like an amalgamation of some of the odder things I own all mixed together. Maybe it should go the the 'equations' topic eh?
Thanks a lot HM!! _________________ Along Came A Spider..... |
