Cheers for those links HM!

They are definitely a great band both live and in the studio based on what I have heard. The band as a whole sound tight with an awsomely powerful talented vocalist in Veronica Freeman, who for some reason makes me think of Tony Martin in places. She is definitely my favourite female vocalist and the fact that the rest of the band sound as good as she does is the cherry on top!

I'm a big fan of cover versions if they are done out of and with respect to the original and the covers here are excellent, with Mob Rules slightly edging it for me.

Anyway I'll reserve further judgement until I get their album on monday hopefully but they sound like many bands including Dio which I discover completely by accident and end up loving!

You also have Jimmy Bain and Craig Goldy check out Valkyrie Rising for Craig's guitar playing Cool

Ok, the album to my surprise arrived on Saturday and after giving a number spins I haver to say this album is Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

This is definitely gonna spend alot of time in my steroe and on my MP3 player. Songs I especially like are Wicca, Misogyny and Valkyrie Rising is excellent too - some Craigs best guitar work, hopefully some of it will bleed into the next Dio album!!

The two cover songs are excellent, with Mob Rules just edginging ahead by a hair.

Veronica is a superb vocalist and pretty unique although I still here traces of Tony Martin in her vocals - just a little here and there especially on Mob Rules.

One of the best albums I'v bought in while and I can't wait to see what they follow this album up with, Uncreation's definitely a 9/10!

This is excellent news. I like the choice of cover songs also, I'll be keeping an eye out for this in the new year.

Thanks for the update.

A huge fan of Benedictum is what I am!
Both albums are excellent and are rarely off my CD player they are so good!

I have mounted a Benedictum for Download 2008 campaign on the festival messageboard and I plug them any chance I can.

Votes always welcome and hopefully we'll get Veronica and the band over to play.

I really like the Balls To The Wall Accept cover. Veronica really does it justice.

How many would agree with Benedictum getting a slot at the Download Festival at Donington Park?

As much as I was blown away by a thunderous version of Balls to the Wall (which was superb, to put it mildly), it was the cover of Catch the Rainbow which impressed me the most and demonstrates the versatility of the band and Veronica perfectly.

Seasons of Tragedy is a solid album though for me it doesn't quite top their debut - though I prefer the more diverse choice of covers - though I have only heard the album a couple of times through so my opinion will probbably change.

Twisted Evil Cool Evil or Very Mad
