I wanted to say that I like Tracy G. a lot... he's a great guitarist!
I like a lot ALL Dio's past and present guitarists... Anyway: have you ever listened to "Inferno: Last In Live"? There is a great work of the band and the guitarist (in that concert) is Tracy G... so, where does he work at the moment? Is he in a metal band?

I like Tracy on Strange Highways and Angry Machines, he's very tight, heavy and fast in a straight way. But if I hear him play some Dio classics on 'Inferno: Live', I can shoot him! With that terrible delay in his sound on that live album and he messed up almost everything.
That's why I think he has a zero on the poll

What surprised me with the poll was the votes Doug did not get....hell...Tracy G is a bloody good guitar player.....but I was always gonna vote for Goldy....only becoz he is now!  |

...Doug speaks for himself...anyone who knows anything about playing guitar,knows that this guy is a spectacular musician...I just think that there was not enough time with Doug in the band Dio for most fans to become familiar with this great plaYER! |

| I think Tracey's playing damn near ruins Inferno. Hiring him and recording those two albums (SH & AM) in that style was a real misstep, imo. LUTW was far better, and what came after Tracey (Magica) was also far better. |

Good point, I think that same thing applys to Rowan...Rowan is maybe the best of them technically but only did 1 album and tour. If you don't think Rowan is a great player listen to that blistering solo in Walk On Water!  I voted Rowan on that poll too. |

Because Strange Highways and Angry Machines are not popular. And he doesn't play so good on Inferno last in live!

...I would Love to see Rowan back in Dio...Lutw is definitely one of my favorite albums...does anyone know what he has been doing recently??? |
