I love Nightwish. I just hope I still will when the new singer is found and the new album is released.

I like Once, but it doesn't sound like Nightwish. Some parts of that album, e.g. Nemo are blatant attempts to get some sort of commercial success, which in my opinion they don't need. Nightwish have been going along fine for about 10 years, cranking out some amazing music. If the band are to have a hit, it should be with a song that sounds like Nightwish. Nemo just sounds like HIM - not good.

I fear that they will continue with the sound on Once, i.e. an increased amount of commercial stuff. And what's more we don't know about the new singer yet! What if she can't handle the Tarja material? What if they have to adapt their sound to fit a voice that is less special and it has a detrimental effect on the music?

If you ask me, they need to be very careful with this next album. Going for a traditional Nightwish sound could bring criticism of the new singer not being up to scratch. Hardcore fans won't be wanting another Once, as it craves acceptance, either with HIM style songs or really heavy material to appeal to the opposite spectrum of metal fans who are into their really heavy and aggressive stuff. So the only option left is to be totally different, which is likely to bring cries of 'But that 's not Nightwish!'.

I hate to say it , but the bands lifespan may be decreasing rapidly. They may have needed Tarja more than they thought.

On the other hand, they may get it just right, and I hope they do, and the situation may be similar to Ronnie taking over from Ozzy in Black Sabbath - a new lease of life.

They need a classical singer similar to tarja.. dunno if it is hard to find another tarja or maybe completelty different one.. who knows i wish them the best of luck..

Maybe with little bit of luck they end like what happen to sabbath when ozzy left..

I don't like the look of that setlist. I know its hard putting together a best of thing, (hell when I made an Alice Cooper one a few weeks ago what started as 1 disc ended up being 3, and I still wanted to put more on), but surely a song like Gethsemane or End Of All Hope could replace, say, Deep Silent Complete? Nemo is their worst song in my opinion, and where is Angels Fall First!!!???
