Now we can’t do anything… For me is much easier to think that the Gods wanted to be with Ronnie in Heaven! Need to be thankful that we know Ronnie and his life and music. This is more important than an article and regrets!

Exactly. I've really never been one to play the whole "what if" game. I'm sure we all know plenty of people whose cancer was caught in the early stages, yet died anyway. There's no way of telling. |

Hi. Sorry for the silence everyone. My mum passed away after a year long battle with bowel cancer so just takng some time out. I am seeing a consultant on thursday about my issue so should have more news by the end of the week.
Thanks for thinking of me......means a great deal to me.
I'll be about but maybe not posting too much in the coming days.

I am truly sorry to hear that.
I have been in a similar situation too the last year. My mother went through a rough battle and had a big operation for her stomach-cancer. She recieved som positive news just a couple of weeks ago but she isn`t the same strong woman she used to be.
Hope you recover soon .

I'm so sorry to hear that, Oli.
And we know that you are awaiting your test result for yourself.
My mother died of lung cancer 3 years ago, but I still cannot overcome the pain and sadness and guilty and feeling of huge lost.
Only time will heal you....

I'm so sorry Oli.
I know these words will not take away the pain, but I hope that knowing that we are thinking of you will help in some small way.
so many people have been touched and affected by this horrible disease

Hi Guys
Thanks for all your kind words......mums funeral is set for wed 16th Feb so that should bring closure to everything.
I had my consultation today, Doc is pretty certain that cancer isnt in the picture but I am booked in for a colonoscopy on Mon 28th Feb so we can hopefully put things to bed following that examination.
I will, of course, keep everyone updated but please forgive me if I am a little quiet in the coming days as I prepare to say goodbye to my mum.
