In the months scene Ronnie's Passing, My daughter now almost 2, She comes over to the computer when im on it and asks for 2 things, Metal and Dio, If i don't pull some old Dio tracks off the hard drive she goes into a 2 year old shit fit....My regret is not the fact that the munchkin will grow up To not know who Ronnie Was, The Magic that he made in all of our lives, and the legacy he passed to all of us though his eternal gift of music. But rather I will never get the chance to take her to a Dio show, The cloesest She will get are the DVD's i have on my shelf.
I regret the last Dio show i was able to make was in 2003 in San Diego, When Dio was the middle act with Motorhead opining and Iron Maden headlining. Every one knew i was there for Dio and Moterhead and maiden where just added bonus, But how do we explain to our children the magic that can only be felt a dio show. How do we explain that with out Dio Great bands like Hammerfall would have never come to be, How do we teach out children that there is still a glimmer of magic in this world with a mortgage over our heads and the stress of day to day life.
Every Generation has their hero's Be it Brams, Bach, Copplen, Ellington, Prestly, or Dio. Each in their own right tossed a stone in a pond. The problem is the ripple that they made in their short time on Earth, Far exceeded their own moral life.
How Do we as the little boats who have ridden the ripples of that wave pass on to other generations how great that single stone tosed into the pond was.
As For me, I will teach my daughter. I train her with all that 25+ years of piano playing can give, I will Fill her mind with Dio, Hammerfall, Nightwish, Beethoven, Mozart, & JS Bach had to give.
I Will teach here that to truly remembered in life you must do one of 2 things: You must Do a deed so dastardly that the world must not forget or Create a body of music so wonderful that the world can never forget.
I implore you all, Teach your children Dio, Expose them to the person who though us taught music is the as close to emortal as one can become, that Dreams do come true. Rather your the listner on a cold dark loanly night with just your ear phones and the cold hard world beating down your back, or your the musicain just trying to let your "Sacred Hart" have a chance to shine.
In truth its never more true than "I could'a Dreamer, , I coulda been a shooting star," Never live with the regret of what if i woulda fallowed my heart, My Dreams.
If u want to make give meaning to the life of Ronald James Padavona, Make sure u teach your children chase their dreams, There is Evil out there watch out, and life with out a touch of magic is a not a life, Its Hell on earth.
We Need our goblins, Our faeries, our Daemons, Our belief in that witch is just outside the grasp of our imagination. In trough our dreams and fantasies make us more human than we will ever know. _________________ May I put that on your Sears Card? |

Aww this post is so beautiful.
I'm going to make sure my little man will grow up knowing the magic of Ronnie James Dio.
My son already comes up to me when I'm sitting by the computer and says " I want to see Ronnie, " and if I decline I get " the scream,"
I will do my best to teach my son to believe in his dreams. Magic is all around us, in the people that we meet and the goodness in their hearts. Dreams can be real, but so can nightmares. People with dark hearts try to hide or deceive us. He needs to look out.
I often wonder what kind of world I have brought my son into. But without a touch of magic the world can be a much darker place. |

Thank You Lisa. We went and saw Ronnie today. We took some pictures and will post them here, as well as other places in this forum.
Everyone, you must go see Ronnie. Pictures do not show the awesome beauty that surrounds him. He is truly in a place that is calm, beautiful and peaceful.
Words can not describe the beauty of Ronnie's resting place. Pictures do no justice.
