The link above is to Ronnie's resting place. His grave has been marked. You can see it here at my friend Lisa Burks web site.
Thanks to Lisa now we can go pay our Love and respect to the greatest human being and Singer that has ever graced our planet. Ronnie, REST IN PEACE OUR BROTHER. I am sure the rose is the one Wendy held onto at the memorial. We love you too Wendy. Thank you. _________________ DiosDisciples

Thanks you so much for posting this. It is a beautiful place and one I hope to visit one day so I can pay my own personal respects to the man who unknowingly guided a substantial part of my life.
A very fitting place for the man on the silver mountain. _________________ Stand up and Shout!!!!! |

| I couldn't care less where Ronnie was laid to rest - it could be a pauper's grave and I would still think it was the saddest yet most beautiful place on Earth. Can't say that I think much of the picture - what is it supposed to signify? It doesn't seem to convey anything about the type of person Ronnie was. At least it doesn't have any obvious religious connotation - but it's just bland and meaningless, the complete opposite of Ronnie. I would be very surprised if he actually chose that image to be above his final resting place. |
There is no need for it to convey the type of person he was. We already know who and what he was, No explaination needed. The children represent his and Wendy's children. The Children of the Night. Ronnie and Wendy loved those kids and saved their lives from certain doom. Like I said no explaination needed., if you know who and what Ronnie was really about. Ronnie's signature and the rose his wife held on tight to at his memorial, that says alot. I have been there and believe me it says everything about Ronnie and his love for his kids. The Children of the Night, who he and Wendy protected and cherished. I can see why he chose the picture of Children. He spent his life saving children. _________________ DiosDisciples

No thanks needed. It was an honor to let all of you know where our beloved Ronnie is. He Loved his fans so very much. He loved people. He knew you would like his resting place that is why he choose this place. Please go see him, you will feel the love he had for you.
Thank Lisa Burk. She is the one who did all the work to follow up. I only followed up with her. She did the rest.

Ronnie also knew there was a chance he would die. That is why he signed his own grave. He wanted us to know this was his last autograph to his fans. He obviously wanted his fans to come see him. Otherwise he would have marked his grave with his birth name, Padavona and not Dio. I think personally Ronnie was telling us who and what he was, and Wendy made sure it was done right. Not only this, Ronnie was a humble man, he did not dote on himself. That is why it appears to be very simple. Wendy could have buried Ronnie somewhere and not have shared with us his resting place, she would have had the right to do so. She loves his fans as much as he did. That is why his grave is marked like it is. Ronnie knew that his fans would understand why he marked his grave this way. It definately represents Ronnie. _________________ DiosDisciples

Lisa Burk provided the following information.
Some people have asked about the artwork over the sarcophagus. It's a replica of "The Three Children" originally painted by American artist Rembrandt Peale in 1808. It was installed in 2004 during the expansion of the Courts of Remembrance. _________________ DiosDisciples

I would like to retract the statement I made about the Rose in the picture of Ronnie's grave marker. The Rose may not be the one Wendy held during Ronnie's memorial. Thought it does resemble it. It may have been placed there by her, a friend, or fan. I am working to find the source of this rose. If anyone knows the source please contact us at DioDisciple@hotmail.com. Who ever placed it there, Thank you. It enhances his marker nicely.
There is a clear glass or simular clear covering that is the marker itself. Blow the picture up and you can see it is a clear marker over the front of the marble sarcophagus. With Ronnie's information etched into the clear covering. This is why it appear white and black. The marble is white mostly. The before picture of Ronnie's sarcophagus shows that it is made of white/beigh marble. More information about Ronnie's grave site coming soon.
Love to All of Ronnie's , Friends, Fans and His Lovely Wife Wendy
