Anyone else like Avenged Sevenfold. They are one of the few Heavy Metal bands that I have enjoyed recently. Some of their songs have a good vocal and melody to carry. Some are too hard or too fast for me. They have a twin guitar approach, good solos to me.
They have a new disc out today, so I wanted to hear if anyone else had heard of them. They lost their drummer around Christmas last year to a drug overdose at a young age. Too bad.

Just wanted people's opinion on them. I haven't heard enough of them to form a fair opinion.
Oli and Gary, you both use the phrase "cup of tea." Are you truly two different people are the same entity? 
Speaking of Maiden, they have a new CD coming in August I believe. I've heard one song, sounds good.

LOL! I assure you we are very different, but very similar in a lot of our tastes it would appear. BUT mainly i am English and he is Scottish!
