I saw that nobody posted about this band before, so I decided to add my two cents.
I love this band.
Around 2001, I was introduced to 'Toxicity' and it immediately clicked as something different and amazing that I liked.
I must say, all the elements are there that make this a super band. The music really gets me going.
Particularly I often am intrigued by their stance on politics in their music. Musically I love the guitar playing. Plus, Serg(vocalist) and Daron(guitarist) harmonize together beautifully. Their lyrics are far out unusual with a great rhythmic flare.
I loveeeee the double album, Hypnotize and Mezmerize. I felt that these albums represent their creative peak, and I'm looking forward to see what they do next.

I just picked up Scars on Broadway, an album written by Daron the guitarist from SOAD.
It is excellent. The production sound is amazing. The music certainly makes me think that Daron is the man who champions the sound of SOAD.
I was out of the loop on this, not even knowing it was released.
It sounds like a SOAD album, minus Serj. It's totally worth the buy. 9.99 at Best Buy for 15 super solid tracks. _________________ "Too many flames, with too much to burn, and life's only made of paper." - RJD |
