Rockpalast + Sonisphere DVD?

I've seen some good quality footage on utube of these shows they did in 09'. Anyone think this may be released to DVD at anytime?

I just ordered a copy of the Rockpalast concert on DVD. Yes, that footage is very good. Has 90 minutes on it, Time Machine, Bible Black, Country Girl.

I found it available on a website that sells concerts that were played for television. Won't get a case, but it will be nice to have. Dio seems to be in a lively mood that night.

Thanks for the tip. Most of what I have seen is audience shot footage.

I don't think it is a bootleg, just a copy of a show from television. I may be wrong, but I think of a bootleg as something someone filmed by themself and are trying to sell independently. But this was filmed for television, German television I believe.

So in the USA, there was no way I was going to see it. Can't wait to see the whole thing. Like I say, Ronnie was in a funky mood that night, lots of spunk.

Well I'll probably get it anyway. Now that you put it that way, if it was filmed professionally at consent of the band as it obviously was, maybe it's not considered a bootleg.

Any release not officially sanctioned by the band or its management is a bootleg, whether a website tries to hide the fact or not the law states that any performance not officially released is classed as a bootleg. The website (under its FAQ section clearly states that all its releases are bootlegs!)

As such I have deleted the post you made with the link to the website as it is against the rules of this forum.

Thanks for clearing it up Oli, I won't be purchasing it. As I clearly know that bootlegs are definitely illegal to purchase. If I can get a hold of another way I will. I was really just if there were plans maybe for these concerts to be officially sold as they were filmed quite well.

here is the webside of WDR ,the station that broadcasted the H&H show. http://www.wdr.de/tv/rockpalast/extra/konzerte/2009/0616/index.jsp And here is the link to contact the people of WDR. http://www.wdr.de/tv/rockpalast/kontakt/ You can try to ask for a copy.Don't know what you will have to pay in case it works.Maybe if there is enough demand,they will release a DVD as they did with Rainbow.

Sorry about that. The "Pink" gets me every time I reply to your posts. I though about it one time, tried not to use feminine terms in relation to you, since I didn't know for sure.

On one of the links for the show, it looks like they sell copies of the programs they have recorded for TV. LIke when you want to buy recordings of news shows, you see the info at the end of the show? I think it was in their currency, so I don't how it compares to the $8 I had to pay. Good luck.

Edit - now that I look at it again, that 1900 - 2015 stuff might be times that they were on the TV, not prices of recordings they have made. It is all in German, good luck.

Trust me,They will understand english.In western Germany every Child has english lesson from the Fivth class on.The WDR is part of the ARD which is one of the Germany's biggest broadcasting networks.There are high qualified journalists there.They will understand.
