A few days to go and I can't wait. Should be a magic day. The weather looks good. Gona be interesting listening to the set and how they are gona do it. I think it will be a lot of Sabbath but maybe with a few Rainbow's and Dio's thrown in. Gona be moving.
Five os going (well one's more of Prog head) Will try and give a rock report next week but that of course depends on how much I can remember for I shall be drinking bucket loads for Ronnie!! |

Official timings from High Voltage are:
Heaven & Hell tribute to Ronnie James Dio 19.20
ZZ Top 21.15
So allowing for 30mins switch over (which is probably being generous) it means H&H will get around 85mins.
Anyone who is attending - enjoy and do report back to us on how it was. _________________ Stand up and Shout!!!!! |

From the HVF site:
No Camcorders of any sort and this in relation to cameras:
'bridge' cameras will not be allowed onto site. The only cameras allowed in will be compact 'point and shoot' pocket sized cameras and mobile phones with camera facilities.
Please do not bring cameras which do not fit these rules as they will not be allowed to be taken onto site at all. _________________ Stand up and Shout!!!!! |

Why wouldn't they want us to see any on that show. You would think they would want Dio fans that missed it to see them performing one last time for him.
The memorial was open to the public, doesn't make sense to block us out of the last show.

| I don't think it is the fault of the Festival makers. It is the media.Imagine this is not about Ronnie Dio but let's say about Michael Jackson. You can bet there will be a tv-show and a DVD and a Blue-Ray. No this is about Metal, the only music-culture that is still really dismissed by the common society . Metal-fans are still branded as stupid , brutal working-class blokes , who drink their beeres by byting off theire beer cans. And "Oh... those longHairs ". So celebrating a late Metal - hero doesn't seam to be a big deal for those boulevard magazines. |

OK before we go to over the top with this I think you will find that this is the decision of Tony and Geezer NOT the festival and not the media....I seem to recall Geezer saying the show would not be filmed when it was first announced.
H&H/Sabbath have always been VERY twitchy about being filmed - just read the report about the last show over at BlackSabbath.com - the guys got told just before the show that they were not allowed to film from the front and had to be 'invisible' to the band........says a lot I think. _________________ Stand up and Shout!!!!! |
