|

Now I believe it is in the middle of the memorial service. In Europe its night. I feel it's going to be a long night tonight. I'm burning a candle for RJD.
I wish that I had the possibility to be there and to say a last good bye. I had no idea that this would affect me so much. He became a part of me and I didn't noticed it. And when he died a part of me died with him (at least it feels that way)...
The past week I had accepted that it is only the body which gone, but the grief is no less.
I would like thank all of you RJD-fans for sharing your thoughts! It's a great comfort. Playing with the idea of a gathering - physical or on the internet - to celebrate this great man. I have no idea how I could make it happen though. Maybe someone has a realistic suggestion..?
Does anyone have pictures or film from the memorial event? Would like to see it to feel a bit closer...
/M

I too have a candle lit for Ronnie - I lit it at 10pm UK time just as the memorial started......I have no information about the memorial, how long it will last or the content but the candle is my small way of honouring Ronnie and what he means to me. _________________ Stand up and Shout!!!!! |

To Wendy,
and anyone lucky enough to know the man in person, rather than being a remote fan in the crowd.
He may have seen me on my boyfriends shoulders in 1982 at Stafford Bingley Hall... nothing to him, but immeasurable for me.
I hope you are comforted by the fact that he was a vocal GOD of the highest kind, but also, a rare soul on the earth plane.
May you remember, know, and love each other once more.
What a thoroughly nice man
Sleep well Ronnie x

At 6am in Japan time, the memorial service has begun and now already finished after 4 hours.
Now some pictures and videos are uploaded.
I wish I could be there, but I always pray and think of Ronnie.
Place or time does not make any difference.
He is always here.
