They played entire Magica album on that tour I think. _________________ Kto jest Twoim autorytetem moralnym i dlaczego jest nim JP2?

One glaring oversight has always kind of killed the entire album for me: That awesome line in Fever Dreams, "I have seen some evil as I've walked upon the Earth." I used to love this line, but after I actually thought about it, it really does not belong on the album at all. It doesn't even take place on Earth, it takes place on Blessing. So the correct line should be "I have seen some evil as I've walked upon Blessing."
Why Dio didn't use this instead (especially given its awesome hidden, suggested meaning of seeing unfairness even when you are given privilege) would have made the song a thousand times better. Every time I hear that line now it obliterates any sense of immersion I could have had for the album. This slight oversight ruined an entire album for me, so... ****.
The songs are still very solid, though. As an album, it's a masterpiece. But as a concept album... eh. It's weird how much that one word demolished the entire album... |
Could maybe just possibly Blessing and Earth be one in the same? Just a thought.....
Besides, "the Earth" works better than "Blessing" in that line, in my opinion. |

Or instead of "Earth", the proper name of our planet, it could be "earth", as in ground, soil: I have seen some evil as I've walked upon this soil of the planet Blessing. |

Not the best Dio album, just couldn't get into a Dio album being a concept album, not that I didn't enjoy it, I love most of the tracks, I just thought it strange. _________________ So if a stranger sees you

I've been listening to this one a lot lately listening to it now in fact in my computer with a set of headphones on (As Long as it's not about love in fact). I've been very enamored by this one and wish that the story could continue on. The music, although not heavy hard hitting, goes well with what this album was about. I count it among one of my favorites.
Love the beginning to Losing my Insanity. It reminds me of my days in the SCA sitting around a campfire playing drums and recorders. Just love the midevil/fantasy feel of this one.
I don't think I could say anything more about it. |

This is my favorite Dio album after Holy Diver and Last In Line. There is just something magical about this album that never gets old for me. _________________ Psalms 91 |
