Since I am not a singer I salute the greatest voice of rock music with a poem

Some people die early,
some people die late
but you
who died at sixty-seven
will live on forever
as long as you
give us your voice
So we salute you
with your own sign,
a fist
above our heads
and two fingers
towards your heaven
And we are too young
to outlast you,
we are too involved
in the eternal battles
between your gods
and our daemons
to feel you pain
A song has silenced,
a magician has done
his last voice-trick
I don’t really know
how to describe
what I feel right now,
I can’t put it
into words
But I hope
that you will
sing forevermore,
that your great,
magnificent voice
never will silence
Because the world
needs more gods,
needs more people
like Ronnie James Dio…
