Ooooo...those are nice FiddleQueen! I am no crafty. I can knit scarves, but that's it!
One of the guys at work says "Heaven and Hell" should be our department's official theme song!
I tend to agree...! |

Well you're craftier than I am if you can knit scarves...that's probably a lot more difficult than painting! But thanks for the compliment!
It would be awesome to make Heaven and Hell your theme song! You should make it official.
Anyway, I don't necessarily have a theme song for my guitar studio...but I have my Master of the Moon tile, an autographed picture of Ronnie (a gift from a friend who bought it on eBay...I have yet to meet RJD in person), and two guitar magazines featuring Tony Iommi on the covers. It's funny when I get new students--almost all of them (or their parents, at least) see those things and say, "So you know who Ronnie James Dio is, huh? You're too young for that but that's awesome."
So all of my students know how big a fan I am, and they are all being taught well. Just another way I make Dio music a part of my routine.
By the way, I also had the strangest dream last night that I was on a stage somewhere playing "Losing My Insanity." Pretty cool. _________________ "You'll never make me be like you. I'm Master of the Moon!" |

Thanks! Glad to see it's not just Geisha and me!
Here's yet another "Dio is in my kitchen" story...this one happened just last night. It's actually a little bit dumb.
Anyway, I had a dream I was showing some guy how to draw the Heaven and Hell script logo, and he argued with me. He drew it all wrong and told me I didn't know what I was doing. I'm glad to say I was courteous in my dream, and all I said was, "No, friend, this is how it is supposed to look. Trust me." That was the whole dream.
Actually, there is another small anecdote I can share...I caught a friend of mine listening to Computer God yesterday. Now he has to swallow his pride and actually admit he kinda likes this music! _________________ "You'll never make me be like you. I'm Master of the Moon!" |

Hey there fiddlequeen....
I know one stitch. Sometimes I get carried away and knit really long scarves!
Put this under the category of "Dio is in my back yard with a pair of hedge clippers."
A few years ago, I planted this really pretty vine. It had kind of fern like leaves and red flowers. It's called a Cypress Vine I believe...anyway, mine was way out of control, but it looked pretty neat.
So...the dream and the hedge clippers...
I said to Dio "Hey! Come out back and check out my vine!" So we go outside to look at my wild, wicked vine. Dio laughs and says "Oh honey! You are going to have to trim that back a bit!"
I say...oh it's fine. Then he goes into the garage and gets the hedge clippers. I start to protest and he just says "Don't worry. I'll make it look nice!" or somesuch. |

That's hilarious, Geisha. I am glad to know I'm not the only one with crazy weird dreams!
Hopefully I'll have more stories to post soon...nothing new from me today though. But I am currently enjoying a cup of coffee out of my H&H mug. _________________ "You'll never make me be like you. I'm Master of the Moon!" |

Had a dream a couple nights ago that I was at some hotel and went to the parking lot to get in my car. I couldn't find my car, so I went to the desk and asked the guy there if he knew where my car was. It turned out Ronnie had taken my keys and stolen my car. That was the dream.
Now, I would certainly let him borrow my car any time he needed to, but I imagine he'd probably ask permission first! _________________ "You'll never make me be like you. I'm Master of the Moon!" |

We had a thunderstorm in our area a few days ago. It passed over Lubbock (my hometown) for the most part, but the eastern sky was extremely dark. The sun was setting in the west, and I saw one of the most vibrant rainbows I have ever witnessed in the dark side of the sky. It was beautiful.
And naturally, I thought of Ronnie and was grateful yet again for the life he lived among us. He is a beautiful soul! _________________ "You'll never make me be like you. I'm Master of the Moon!" |

Hey fiddlequeen! Just a funny thought I had....
So...I'm cutting up carrots with a pretty big knife. Some of them kind of remind me of fingers, and I'm freaking myself out, afraid that I'm going to slice MY finger....
....then I think of the Gnome Incident, I start to giggle! |

What's weird is that I actually started thinking about that same thing the other day...I caught a finger between a chair and a desk and thought about how I would have reacted if a piece of my finger had come off! _________________ "You'll never make me be like you. I'm Master of the Moon!" |

This is such a fun topic, I'm going to revive it!
I kind of have my own Dio language....a couple of my cooler coworkers have adopted it too.
Dio Mio - that's actually real...kind of like Mamma Mia.
A couple more we say....Sweet Mama of the Holy Diver and Holy Mother of Murray.
Even if people don't get it, they still giggle! |

I totally just spit all over my computer monitor because of the phrase, "Sweet mama of the Holy Diver"
Thank you for sharing that!
I've never been so creative to have come up with such fantastic phrases, but I do still quote lyrics on a regular basis.
And just to help revive this topic, let me share a recent Dio-related dream...this one's a little weird. I walked in to a small club for a Dio concert, and there were tables and chairs set up in this room with the stage up front. Naturally, I pick the table front and center and start to sit down when some punk comes over and sits down in the chair I was clearly about to take. So what do I do? I pick up another chair, kick this guy in the chest and knock him to the ground. I then proceed to crush his throat with the back of the chair. He wasn't too happy.
The concert never actually happened (though after a scene like that, I imagine I wouldn't have been able to hang around for the show, anyway)...so I never actually saw Ronnie or the band, but I think it's funny that my subconscious mind is so violent when it comes to people cramping my Dio-listening! _________________ "You'll never make me be like you. Thank you for the compliment Fiddlequeen! I have the gift of gab, and I can be somewhat of a wise ass!
All of my Ronnie dreams are funny, except for one, but I'll talk about a funny one. I had to go to this work function....where people stand around and drink and schmooze. I hate going to those things...but sometimes, you have too. It was at a country club, and the place was crawling with salespeople and clients and the news department, and me. I beg Ronnie to go with me so I have somebody with a brain to talk to. Anyway....I'll just get to the punch line....one of our news anchors walks by, and he says "That must be (so and so)." I said "Yeah...how did you know?" He grins and says "You're right. She does walk like she has a pole up her butt." Only he didn't say butt.
And....not to be a tease, but I'm going to keep the not so funny one private for now. It wasn't terrible at all. In fact, it made me feel alot better about this whole situation. |
