Rising - hard'n'heavy, Kiev UA

Rising is the band from Kiev. It's been created on the ruins of Hard Day's Night, Suzanna ELPy's first band that's broken-up in 2006.

The first membership formed in 2007 was: Suzanna ELPy (bass/voice), Varvara Koval' (keys), Vladimir Pavlyuk (guitar) and Andrew Gardashnik (drums). Some times later drummer was made to leave the band and on the end of March, 2008, he was replaced by a newbie Boris Kalinin who's still remains as the Rising's full time drummer.

On summer, 2008, the guitar player decided to leave the band and found himself as a musical equipment constructor (we hope one day he'll be new Marshall ). The guy who replaced Vladimir was the very missed person in the band. Yaroslav Zhmaka, with his experience and taste, gave a new life to Rising. The band started to perform, Suzanna and Yaroslav successfully started to work as co-authors, but on April, 2009, Yaroslav said that he has to leave the group. It was very hard period for him and for other band members, it seemed impossible to replace the guy who really became the leader of Rising. But some times later young but experienced Konstantin Kostyuchenko joined the band and spent 9 months practicing and performing with Rising till other bandmates began to differ in oppinion from him. After some unsuccessful castings the drummer Boris gave a proposition to check the band's old friend and bass tech, unexperienced but perspective. After the jam session Vadim Savenko was asked to occupate the guitar player's position.

Current Rising membership continues to practice and perform. Ex-guitarman Yaroslav Zhmaka still writes some stuff with Suzanna ELPy.

On July, 2010 we finished our first demo single "Rock'n'Roll Rules". All stuff composed by me, expect April Wind (music by Yaroslav Zhmaka).
