Spare a thought for Wendy too..

You've all heard the saying, alongside every great man is a great woman.

I'm sure Wendy is exhausted, scared, and running herself ragged all the while keeping it together for Ronnie.

I'm saying all of this as a wife. I've had a similar experience, and seeing the one you love the most suffering and not knowing why is absolutely terrifying. I'll keep my story short. My husband and I work together. About a year after we were married, I came back from my dinner break to see an ambulance in our parking lot, and I immediately knew something had happened to him. (Those of you in long term relationships can relate to becoming psychic about each other.) I run into the building to see him being lifted onto a stretcher, pale, sweating, in extreme pain, short of breath. His blood pressure was dropping like a stone. The paramedics had attached leads to his chest, and he was on oxygen, both "just in case." I kind of went catatonic for a minute. I got pulled over by a cop on my way to the hospital. The cop wasn't exactly kind either.
The whole time in the waiting room, I was wreck. Nobody was telling me anything. When I would ask somebody, they gave me a very terse "We don't know," and made me feel like an idiot for asking. All of the horrible "what if's" run through your mind. It's awful to say the least. I broke down when I was finally allowed to see my husband. As it turns out, it was a kidney stone, and it ran its course, so a happy ending for us.

So folks, I know we are all concerned and very worried about Ronnie. While all of us are sending good vibes, good thoughts, and positive energy Ronnie's way, don't forget to send some in Wendy's direction.

definitely! Shes been there for him through the years so lets be there for her too! I was lucky enough to meet her a couple weeks ago and it was such a good feeling to know she was a good and kind person as well.

Wendy, my thoughts are with you and I wish you strength during this very difficult time.

Just to say how special Wendy is (and I doubt she will remember) but I once sent Niji Management a mail asking if they were looking to take on any new bands (my band was just breaking in the UK) and rather than the usual no reply or standard response sent by a PA or such like Wendy took the time from her very hectic schedule to write me a personal email and suggest a couple of other Management companies in the UK. Now that is a very rare and very special thing in this business and I am eternally grateful to Wendy for taking the time.

Absolutely! Wendy. My wife was in the Hospital for 7 weeks earlier this year, and it was very hard to deal with everything outside and be there for her as well. So I know how it is, and of course if a Dope like me can handle it, I'm sure Wendy is way ahead of the game.

The above posts are great! I mean, let's really think about Wendy for a second. Unlike some wives/band managers I can think of, Wendy is a shining example of what a good wife (and manager) is for her husbands career AND reputation. I mean, Ronnie is the King of metal, then certainly Wendy is the Queen. Think of all that she has done for Ronnie, and for the Children of The Night program, and for helping animals in need, and the list goes on and on. Wendy, you certainly deserve the heavy metal metal of honor as far as I'm concerned. You always have a place in our hearts. No matter what you are going through, know that there is a lot of people behind you who are cheering you on and are here with our support for you, because of your own merits and accomplishments as a human being and lovely person! Thanks so much for all you work. Our best thoughts and wishes to you.
