| i saw the interview that said that Dio left Rainbow because Ritchie Blackmore wanted more commercial stuff and Dio didn't.but is it true that the band wanted Dio to sing more love songs?because i like that Dio doesn't sing love songs. |

I don't know about love songs but Ritchie did want to take the band in a more commercial dirrection (which he did) and you can't blame him either. Rainbow weren't particularly big and it was his band. Ronnie chose to leave. But if he didn't leave there'd have been no Children Of The Sea or I Surrender |

Ronnie still sings songs about love though, maybe not relationships, but still about love.

Most of Dio's songs are about love. The more intense side of love. You have to fall in love (for real) before you ever really understand anything by Dio. _________________ Chase the horizons, catch the illusion

| Exactly. The love songs he does are normally covering the bad half of a relationship;the sad break up;the fact you can't trust anyone.Nothin' fluffy. |

| i think thats enough for love songs. dio sing more songs about love in holy diver. don't talk to strangers, straight through the heart, invisible... and hunter of the heart. but the real world is important the love. love is a strong emotion but u live in a world and something goes bad. dio wants to talk about that. |
