Well I am very excited to hear the new album from my favorite band ever.

I just cant believe the cheesy song titles they have come up with for every song. did they really think we want all the songs to have the word evil or devil or heaven in the title?

Come on guys give us more credit than that. We love the music for the music not because it has an Evil sounding title. You guys don't have to try and prove anything to us lol. What happened to titles like Walk Away , Voodoo, lonely is the World , Children of the Sea.

Am I the only one who thinks this.

Open your mind its all about how you decipher these words.
Your own interpretations go far deeper into the meanings of the words than Ronnie James Dio can possibly comprehend.
Thats the beauty of Ronnie James Dio's words...they have so many different meanings to us all.
The saying 'better the devil you know than the devil you don't'
How many times do we use this proverb in every day life its does not have to have an 'evil or dark' meaning...I have used this word myself when talking about things, people ,managers and bloody politicians...the imagery you find in the song is something so personal even if you did know Ronnie James Dio's really interpretation it maybe very different from your own.
Really titles mean nothing...becoz they don't express the emotion.
That the song 'Catch the Rainbow'...you get no clue from its title what this song is about or any clues of the emotions expressed in the song.

Just wait for the cd to come out Cool Wink

While I totally area with you about the meanings my point is that I think they are trying to put a Theme to this one and that it almost commercialized. I do say almost. I don't know it just seems like too many of the songs have very similar titles the whole thing seems unoriginal and not so creative.

I hope the music is more creative than the titles. I'm sorry cant say the Devil cried or ear in the wall is their best work.

I really can't agree with you or disagree until I have heard the cd.But you got me thinking of titles for songs that bands use all the time like...Whitesnake song titles they are very similar and the theme is always about life & love etc.You can say the same with Iron Maiden the titles are always about history, literature & war.
Don't forget Ronnie James Dio is the master of the metaphor , how many times has he created an extraordinary meaning out of the seemingly dull and mundane things in life. Smile

Yes, you hope they are not just packaging themselves as a "Metal" band since they are so much more than that.
But I am very happy about the new album and can't wait to hear it.
Makes me think of the Evil Doctor Teeth on 2nd City TV who always said "Ooh! Scary!"

I've come to expect these kind of titles from Sabbath/ Dio. That's what metal is all about, Sabbath set the standard with the song Black Sabbath. Without religion/spirituality/occult--Heaven & Hell-there wouldn't be very many good metal songs. Between Iommi, Dio and Geezer Butler I'm surprised there's not more titles like those mentioned.

I personally can't wait to hear the new album by Heaven and Hell. Lets face it do the title of songs really matter. I have to hear the song first. Dio has stated in interviews that people get different interpretations of his music. I don't care about song titles I am so glad these guys settle what ever differences they had and are back together making music and peforming . Can't wait to hear Ronnie James Dio sing this guy has the best voice in heavy metal. So lets just enjoy this great band!!!
