I see you got one of the Earmark Sabbath pressings. They did a great job with them. I got all of them through Born Again, which is as late as they go, I believe. They also did a great job with the Motorhead catalog.

Great videos, it was interesting to follow the process of making these vinyl discs. Makes me wanna dust off the old vinyl collection, fire up the old vinyl record player and enjoy some hours of analogue listening to my old Metal records.

I haven't heard of the Direct Metal versions, or DMM, from the pictures you posted. What are they? How do they compare to the Earmark releases?

WTF is analog? Some kind of sick homo porn? LOL

The only vinyl I've collected are the Southern Gospel greats from my chidhood. The Hinsons, Dottie Rambo, Happy Goodmans, etc...for sentimental reasons.

Really? I would have thought you might have a few pieces of attire that were made of vinyl. I had really hoped so, anyway. Wink

I haven't listened to them yet...so can't say...supposed to be the SHTZ! Very Happy

If you watched those videos, you saw that they first make a 'metal' master, so seem to remember it has something to do with cutting out a step or two in the process while increasing fidelity.

I'll do a bit more research...I 'used' to know! Sad

I have about 1000 vinyls and 200 CD's. Collectors sucks, but I want my music on vinyl. I don't pay ebay prices or anything like that...
