So, I didn't manage to see the first band, didn't fancy their stuff by what I saw on youtube, Doro were amazing but missed the first quarter of an hour.
Saxon stole the night with an incredibly generous and powerful setlist.
Pretty much most of their new album with classics towards the end.
Here's a list of songs in random order of songs.
Denim & Leather
747
Motorcycle Man
Wheels of Steel
Crusader
Princess of the Night
Dallas 1PM
Strong Arm of the Law
Lionheart
Demon Sweeney Todd
Live to Rock
Heavy Metal Thunder
Valley of the Kings
And the Bands Played On
Ride Like The Wind
Hellcat
Loads of other songs I can't remember.
The stuff from their new album which was so damn incredible.
Can't remember or find a full setlist anywhere though so no can do about that.
Brilliant sound and performance, was right up front and some balding 40 odd year old bloke was jumping around like a uphill gardener daffy duck, knocking everyone over in the process. Some lass threw her beer on him though, didn't stop him. Git.
More so devastated I didn't get a pick, I almost did but it deflected off my hand and some insanely overweight middle aged lady dived onto the floor scraping them all up.
Here's some pics anyway!
Holy crap the drummer's lost, he's on the wrong side of the kit, silly sod!
Biff Got kicked in the crotch by an imaginary boot!
That concludes the gig!
Came home empty handed except for some random bat pendant I found. |
