"creamy, cascading distortion and enriched harmonics from the tubes" (From that ad) I seriously doubt that. I'm not trying to put down the amp, it's just I'm willing to bet these tubes are made in China. Even Marshall stock tubes are made in China. Companys do this to cut back on the overhead cost. Aside from that it's a nice looking amp.
The point is that tubes mean so much in an amp. Musicians right now are dissatisfied with all currently made tubes. This is why that Techtube company has fired up the old tube manufacturing plant in Blackburn England. They're responding to a consumer need (mostly musicians) for a quality tube not currently available. Musicians complain that something is "amiss" with all modern mad tubes.
The electronic circuitry is really quit simple and hasn't changed much since the invention of the amp. I'd ask them exactly what brand name of tubes are in it, and where they were made. Once you find this out, ask that guy Kenny, get feedback from others at forums and read some reviews. Electronic geeks will also give you good feedback. If you ask the sales guy, he'll give you a crafty bullshit story that he can create on the spot like the sly fox that he is.

...easy enough to slap in some Groove tubes Ay' nick?...at any rate, I'm telling you this amp screams!... as I would never buy anything without at least test driving it... ...& I certainly wont settle for solid state...the price is right too wouldn't you say?...Also, the name "Bogner" sealed the deal for me... _________________ ...As long as it's NOT about love... |

"Groove tubes originally were screened "made in USA" but when Aspen was called on it and learned that he could be brought up on charges for making false claims that line of print was removed from the tubes." - The Gear Forum
Bobby, if u want, check out this forum. Here is a link on the subject of Groove tubes. These electronic geeks know every subtle nuance on the make up of all modern tubes and past tubes history. http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=510226&highlight=groove+tubes |

Very very nice choice! That'll friggn smoke! And really even if it has China tubes there's nothing wrong with that they still kick solid state in the balls any day of the week, the only difference is with the old tubes you get even a notch above that so it's still great cause you just adjust the EQ a little hotter with the China tubes and your ready to peel the paint off the walls! And once you find other tubes you may like better you just slap them in and walla! There you go... and always save the tubes you pull out for those moments where you may need them.
You have fun with that rig man that's a smoking rig! _________________ GUITARGOD |

| Congratulations on the Iommi guitar. I've read review on it in the past, and this guitar gets really good ratings. If your thinking Marshall, take the Super Triple lead for a spin. Think the correct name is; TSL100 JCM2000 Triple Super Lead Head. |
