Heaven and Hell: The VIP Experience

I was thinking of something awesome that I could get him to sign, and I have thought of a couple things that don't breech (breach?) the rules. One item I am thinking of is un-screwing the side off of my X-Box 360, and having them sign that. Another item I was thinking was my iPod, which I can just bring in my pocket. Just basically anything I can stuff in my pockets that I can say I just brought because, and not for signing.

Also, another thing I am wanting to do while I'm there is ask Vinny for some drum sticks, and Tony for some guitar picks. I promised my two drummer friends that if I could, I would get them some. And I just want some guitar picks from Iommi because...well....that would kick ass. Anybody who has met them before, do you think they would be OK with this request?

i have heaven and hell, mob rules and live evil on LP. i was thinking of bringing those. H&H is still in the plastic wrap. got those back when they came out and are still in real good shape.

From what I have been told after several emails regarding items to get signed, nothing but Heaven & Hell items will be signed by the band as the rules state. They did confirm no solo projects or side projects will be allowed, including Black Sabbath, Dio, Iommi, Rainbow, or anything from Ronnie's earlier recordings. I to have had many things signed by Ronnie in the past, as many as 10 at a time, he is always glad to sign something and share a pic and his time with the fans. Even though he is the frontman for the band he & his management is not in control of the rules, I expect it to be something related Sabbath and their management, or Paid. I have all the Dio Sabbath albums including boots signed by Ronnie and somer by Vinnie, I was planning on bringing them in to get Geezer and Tony to sign them but according to the rules they are not allowed, I guess they consider Black Sabbath to be a side project, who knows? I can understand no guitars, but no pickguards is just crazy. I have both the Gibson & Epiphone versions of Tonny's guitar & would love to have them signed. I usually have a stack of items at a Dio show, even last year with aftershow passes I had about 5 items each night that I went. Anyway I wouldnt want to have to go back to the car with my items and not regain entry. Later.

To be honest, I think it's a load of bullshit with the amount of things you can't bring. I mean, honestly. I plan on getting my iPod signed while I'm there, since I can just put that in my pocket, and say I brought it just because, and then secretly get it signed by RJD. Depending on how tight security is during the meet and greet will determine if this is possible. I suppose I can also strap stuff to my leg (like my X-Box 360 face plate).

The worst that will happen is I will have to go back to my dad's truck and drop the stuff off. I'll bring my Dio Years CD as a backup just in case. Since that meets all the rules. Kinda pissed off at all of this, since this might be my only chance to meet the legend himself, and I want a lot of stuff to remember it by.

Kind curious to see how it will all turn out.

So, we have any first hand experiences yet? I'm debating on it for my TX trip. It goes against everything I believe in yet like an evil temptation it beckons me!

Well, I'm back and recovered from my whole concert experience. Honestly, there aren't words to describe how awesome it was. Met Ronnie, Tony, Geezer, and Vinny, got stuff signed, got my picture, met some awesome people, had great food, got some shirts, got front row.

Basically, it was just a never ending time of awesome. I met DioDisciple there, which was pretty awesome. I won't write much here, because I plan on writing a full length review about everything that went on. So stay tuned, and in the mean time, here are some pictures!

man how fucking awsome! we will be in houston on the 23rd, vip , front row etc!!! i know ,i know, iv'e said it before. can't wait. from what i gather you are young. we are in our fourties and just as excited! so glad you got all your stuff signed! give us more details on the meet and greet process. casual? rushed? contoled? what? either way it doesn't matter to us. its been since 83 when we have been able to speak to dio himself! an it was just a chance meeting then. been to every dio show since! you lucky s.o.b.! we are not far behind you! LOL!

The meet and greet was great and all, but it was pretty rushed and controlled. At our venue it was basically just stand in a line, one or two people go in a time, get there thing signed, chat with them while they are signing for a bit, like 20 seconds, get your picture taken, then they kick you out. Luckily I was able to get two things signed since I was with my dad and he got it signed for me

So don't expect to be able to like drink a beer with them and chat with them for 10 minutes.

It was still awesome nonetheless though, got to tell Ronnie James Dio that he was my idol, and got to shake all their hands. They said I was the first one to get a video game thing signed

well we are back! was the most awsome show to date! did the pre show party. had a great time. the show itself was great. after sabbath did their show we went back stage. got to meet the band, talk for a little bit an get our pictures taken. everyone was awsome. the band were very courtious an really took time to talk. really class acts. when we were done went back to our seats to see priest. they were awsome also. that night back at the hotel we ran into ian hill from priest. we all hung out for a good while and even got a couple of pictures. real nice guy. will try to get some pics posted up later tonight. can't wait to do it again! this one will be hard to top.

Awesome does not begin to describe! I didnt remember a thing I wanted to say or ask but still, awesome! All the guys were great but Dio stole my heart! Last night when I was trying to sleep on the airport floor, every time I'd close my eyes I could still see him.

I want to see my pic, Dio_is_my_god how did you get yours? Do they send you a link to it or something?

I'll post it when I get it (as long as I dont look like a total goober)
