He did this once with Yngwie Malmsten, the cover went out even better than the original!!!

How to influence him to do again???

Is there anyone else who would like to push for make this happen???

Cheers

Well, I just love the song (what a great piece of hard rock!!!), especially the cover version sung by Ronnie James Dio has lots of more balls and edge than the original version sung by the frog-voiced Steven Tyler (I like Aerosmith though). It would be great if Dio performed it live on stage this year...

...and 2 other cover songs as well:

Mistreated and (WE ARE) STARS!!!

In the case of Mistreated, Mr. Coverdale is totally outshined by the awesome power and emotion of Ronnie James Dio - an unquestionable fact (I like the original version as well though, Coverdale is good but Dio is so much better). Not to mention the awesome charity rock piece (We Are) Stars, now that's a song of pure hard rock excellence!!! First I got it as an mp3 rip, but not so long ago I managed to get the original LP with the bonus studio tracks!

well, Dream On yes, but bring Malmsteen to play it!

Mistreated is not completely a cover; Dio always announces it as "from the On stage album", thereby more or less claiming it as his own, somehow. He sings it quite regularly! Stars, as far as I can remember, was only played in the Dream Evil tour, but I could be wrong!
