I think they rock. Cool Sure they're not the heaviest band around, but that doesn't matter, cause you don't have to be really heavy to be metal. I got their first album Ecliptica, and I can't really say anything bad about it. Its good stuff to listen to if you're in a good mood, or if you need to get into one. Rolling Eyes

I really like this band. When I was in Finland last year for the Sauna Open Air festival (the day H&H headlined), Sonata were on the bill, and what I saw was excellent, I thought they were very reminiscent of Rainbow.

I've seen them a few times since here in the UK, most recently at Sheffield and Dudley on the April tour. Great band, and they're picking up a decent following here now!

Yes, they are really good. In fact I like their diversity. They started off as a fast paced speed metal band, then slowed down a bit, and on the latest 2007 release called UNIA they put some progressive elements in the mix.

Tony Kakko is fine behind the microphone, and keyboards begin to play a bigger role in their music I think.

Definitely a band to watch:)
