I could tell they're from Australia by the first licks of the guitar. The songs really get going, probably they're at their best when you play them on a Friday afternoon once you're home and you want to relax a bit.
The vocalist is probably not a top notch one, but I've heard worse...
All in all, the 1579th coming of AC/DC. I liked what I heard. |

Airbourne come from Australia. Some people could say, “so what?” But this country was the mother land of one of the best hard rock bands, AC/DC. Airbourne exist in scene for few years, they have issued their first album in 2004 “Ready to Rock”. That album gave them the chance to be support band of Motley Crue and Rolling Stones.
So after 3 years the second album came out, “Running Wild”. The entire album links us to the AC/DC Bon Scott era
Boogie mid-tempo and some really fast songs that make you dancing and hitting all the parts of your body
Airbourne haven’t copied the great AC/DC, they just adopted the best characteristics of the group and wrote some pieces that we will like to hear them from AC/DC.
Very important role plays the singer of the band, Joel O’Keeffe that seems that he spend lots of hours hearing the voice of Bon Scott.
Of course all the members played their role because it is not easy to get the feeling and mood of AC/DC. Songs like "Stand Up For Rock 'n' Roll", "Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast", "Girls In Black", "Cheap Wine And Cheaper Women" clarify the party mood they have. The album, even though is only 37 minutes really deserves to be part of our collection.
It is very pleasant to have bands today that they only care if people have a good time.
I think their logo should be: For Those About To Listen To Airbourne... We Salute You.
I hope that success won’t make them loose their sound. _________________ Video games are bad for you? That what they said about Rock 'n' Roll... |
