I'm VERY excited to see what songs are being played tonight, hopefully not so many Sabbath-songs, since H&H are doing them... Perhaps obscure and not played for a while DIO-songs!???
Let us know when you return from the show - I'll be here! |

Last night was the best Dio show i have seen yet.
better than the one were he played Holy Diver album & even better than the Heaven & Hell show.
The set list was great, Kill The King, Sacred Heart,Killing the Dragon were just Amazing.
Also just for little added bonus, we was in a rock n roll bar near the place and Jerry Ewing from clasicrock was in their the guy who does all the review interviews for DVD's. _________________

Hey, I'm really jealous. I can't go to UK.
Please let me know how Ronnie was. I want to know more about the DIO show.

After reading the reviews from UK's gigs and seeing the set list it feels almost impossible to wait another week for DIO's gig here in Finland. It's going to be my fourth time in four years to see him (two times DIO and one H&H before). It's nice to see that there is always good changes in set lists compared for example to Purple which keeps their set too much same all the time...
thanks for the photos and video clips |

Sorry to disappoint you but this DIO tour is going to be a small one,as this one ends Heaven and Hell will embark on the Metal Masters Tour with Judas Priest,Motorhead and Testament for the remaining summer months. But as I always say,one NEVER knows what the Master has up his sleeves.... So keep your eyes and ears open. _________________

A pic of mine from Birmingham:
Bit of a story to that one - during 'Rainbow In The Dark' he saw me with the camera - let me take it then gestured as though to ask 'did it work?' I just gave him a thumbs-up there as thanks(!)
(I don't use flash, just high ISO setting)
It's a little unsharp, as it turns out, but cos of the memory I like it!
(more pics are on my myspace album) _________________ If I'm high on a hill she would still be looking down on me |

over the 2 nights of birmingham and london it was great to see a few of the same people once again. happy birthday Ian. i had one night stage right and the other stage left in order to get a balence. girlschool were a bit ropey to say the least. i'm not saying they were bad but it was all a bit loose for me. the lead guitarist was struggling in partiucular on one track. it would be interesting to see them after an extensive tour to see how tight they could get.
Dio i'm afraid to say were a bit loose as well. with a few mistakes all round. even ronnie was in on it calling don't talk to strangers twice! in saying that it was great to hear some different songs but we are still waiting for a proper master of the moon tour as there was only one song 'the eyes' another week on the road and they be running as normal.
i can't wait now for a new album and a full uk tour in support of it. i fear it will be 2010 before that because of the stupid heaven and hell thing.
i hate to be bearer of obvious news but if ozzy wanted to tour with sabbath they would drop ronnie without a second thought AGAIN! |
