Dusthead, I just have to say... AWSOME choice for guitar; I was thinking the exact same thing about Page. Adding Ian Anderson would be very brave and would further set DIO apart from the rest of the boring pack. Nice to see someone here was thinking about a real guitar player. |

I want to see:
R.J.D - vocals
V. Campbell - guitar
J. Bain - bass
V. Appice - drums
C. Schnell - keyboards
I think, this is the best line-up !!! |

Dio
Iommi
Butler
Ward (or Appice)
Well, at least we'll be getting a couple new songs with Dio and Iommi together for a new Sabbath retrospective. |

I'd love to hear Dio put down a track or two with Spiritual Beggars.
They toured with Dio in Japan, and JB and Dio singing backed up by Michael Amott's guitars would be a match made in heaven! _________________ This post probably sucked. Sorry about that. |

Hmmmmmm... I honestly don't think ANYONE should have the audacity to 'share' vocal duties with RJ (apart from audience participation). He can outdo himself on most occasions, and he needs vocal assistance from no one!
Also, I'm sick of these wugga-wugga Sabbath worship bands as it is. As Iommi is as Sabbath as it gets and we've already heard Dio with them, I think it would be a pointless exercise to retread old ground, albeit dressed up as a modern tribute act.
I'd be more open to some experimentation with a different vibe to the already tried, tested & dominated. Maybe if he could jam with, Agata from Melt Banana & Adrian Belew from King Crimson, it would create (not necessarily melodic or cohesive music) something totally off the planet!!! _________________ Tyler says: 'If this is your first time on the Dio forum... I never really got the comparison between Spiritual Beggars and Black Sabbath. Maybe a few songs such as Through The Halls, but apart from that they sound much more like Deep Purple or Rainbow to me.
I'm all about something new, but Melt Banana is just too different from Dio and would probably come off as involuntarily funny. Something King Crimson-esque with Dio singing would be interesting though. _________________ This post probably sucked. Sorry about that. |

If Randy Rhoads was still alive, I would have liked to see him work with Ronnie, just to see what it would be like, you know? |

Hmm, I wonder what that would sound like. Would Zakk want to play with Ronnie? |
I doubt it. He's too much of a Sharon loyalist. |
