I never heard of this one before, but came across a listing for Black and Blue. This was Black Sabbath, and Blue Oyster Cult on a dvd. I'm assuming that it may be 1982, as they both toured together at that time, but I have never seen this mentioned anywhere.
Anyone have any idea on this one? Bootleg maybe, though the cover art looks pretty professional? |

I have "Black & Blue", it's a cool DVD!
It was 1980, infact the Sabbath's videos are taken from the Heaven And Hell Tour.
The setlist is the following:
The Marsheal Pean *
War Pigs
Neon Knights
N.I.B.
Dr. Music *
Cities On Flame *
Divine Wind *
Iron Man
Paranoid
Godzilla *
Roadhouse Blue *
Heaven And Hell
Born To Be Wild *
Die Young
Born To Wild [yeah, another time!] *
*Blue Oyster Cult song.
You can find the same videos of Black Sabbath (also if, usually, cut from interviews) in some other Black Sabbath VHS's and DVD's too, like the unofficial "Inside Black Sabbath", just to name one.
If you got the chance, catch this "Black & Blue", you'll like it!
Best greetings,
Magic!

Thanks guys. Wow, very rare early Dio/Black Sabbath.
I remember now, had to be 1991, I was living in Edmonton and they both came as headliners for the Rock circus. I missed them.
I saw the 1990 Rock Circus, Heart, Frampton, Eddie Money. Err... don't remember much of that one... |

That would be a cool show to have, The Cross Purposes Audience Complete Version along with the official release and The Pro Shot Hammersmith Oden 1986 would be great additions to a Black Sabbath Video collection. I hope they come out with a Black Box Two and throw in a bunch of goodies and demoes too. It would be nice if Dio would come out with a box set of his early music before his Elf days . I have some mp3 stuff I got off the web of Dio in his early years and it is awesome. I like oldies once in a while. I wonder why his pre Elf recordings are not listed in his discography even if they are not in print. |

This is one of the best dvd's ever! I couldn't
find it for years but a guy on this here forum
sent me a copy. If you are a fan of BOC and
Dio Sabbath you will cream your jeans!
I also had a debate long ago with someone
who insisted that Blue Oyster Cult never had
a Harley Davidson as a stage prop. With this
video you get to see BOC perform Born to Be
Wild complete with a Hog. So Judas Priest was
not the only band to do this. _________________ Voodoo |
