I saw Def Leppard back when they were huge, and at the hieght of their career. I hated the show. They were so boring I couldnt stand it. I cant even imagine watching Viv do lame Steve Clark solos.

DEF LEPPARD kicked off its North American tour last night (Thursday, March 27) at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The group’s setlist was as follows:

01. Rocket
02. Animal
03. Let’s Get Rocked
04. Foolin’
05. Mirror Mirror
06. Nine Lives
07. Love Bites
08. (Bass Solo)
09. Rock On
10. Two Steps Behind
11. Bringin’ on the Heartbreak
12. Switch 625
13. Hysteria
14. Armageddon It
15. Photograph
16. Pour Some Sugar on Me
Encore:
17. Rock of Ages

DEF LEPPARD’s new studio album, "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge", is scheduled for release on April 29 via Bludgeon Riffola/Island/UMe.

The 11-track "Songs From The Sparkle Lounge" is DEF LEPPARD’s first album of brand new material since 2002’s "X" and begins yet another remarkable new chapter in the band’s 30-year recording career. Recorded last year during month-long stints at lead singer Joe Elliott’s Dublin studio, the album’s title refers to a backstage area called The Sparkle Lounge on DEF LEPPARD’s 2006 tour where the band would go to write songs.

Pop band in metal section Shocked

Quote:
When we try to write a pop song, we go for standard pop arrangements, even to the point where we will go to the key change at the end, which is really cheesy.
Joe Elliott

Of course I am not a fan, there greatest work will always be ''High'n'Dry''for me.

Not a big fan, they don't play my kind of music, but we all must take our hats of for Richard John Cyril "Rick" Allen drummer of Def Leppard, man plays with one arm!

Going to three of the UK shows: Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool.
(OK the fact WS are also on the bill helped sway that one!)

The album is an improvement on 'X', that's for sure, then again I liked the covers album 'Yeah!' too. Last time I saw them, in 2003, they were excellent (loads of old stuff in the set), so it should be a good night.

Joe Elliott lead singer of pop band Def Leppard has made a comment Rolling Eyes ...this is the topic to talk about it.

Quote:
If Ronnie James Dio — as he did — said on that YouTube piece when somebody mentioned Vivian [Campbell, DEF LEPPARD guitarist], "I hope he fuckin' dies!" I would just say, "Ronnie James Dio, go fuck yourself!" So if somebody says, "DEF LEPPARD suck!", then I'll just back the ball like in tennis and say, "No, you suck, man!",

Forget the Dio comment I think he's a twat for the comment about Whitesnake & Def Leppard
Quote:
'' allies. It's as ridiculous as saying the British army is in competition with the American army in Iraq! They're working together for a common goal.''
Sorry Joe but I can't see how Our Boys and Girls in Iraq is the same as a bloody ''Pop'' tour.
The common goal in Iraq and Afghanistan is to stop mostly terrorists...your common goal is maybe sell a few t-shirts. Rolling Eyes

Being a British Taxpayer...I have a right to say this,Joe who does not pay any taxes from his home in Dublin Mad
This is my opinion of your band... Def Leppard are a pile of lightweight crap who sold their rock souls for the American Dollar Exclamation
Your band is nothing without Steve Clarke.

If had choice between seeing this ''pop'' band Leppard and Girls Aloud....I would rather go to the Girls Aloud concert with them I would see some nice eye candy with twats instead of a band like Leppard just being bloody twats Laughing
